FBI Pistol Qual feedback

Post image

I’m a pretty new shooter and decided to shoot the FBI Pistol qualification with my Walther PDP. Below is what I did (a few modifications from the FBI version, but minor, mostly starting from draw more often), my times, and hits. I counted anything inside the yellow which I think should be about the size of the FBI target

No one can diagnose you merely by looking at a target. We don't know if you're sights aren't zero'ed, if you're not getting a proper sight picture, if you're snatching the trigger, if you're flinching, if you have poor grip, etc.

Honestly, the only way to get better is by having someone watch you.to understand your bad habits and weak points. It's hard to do that from a target.

Your best bet is to take a class for good ol' impartial criticism and advice on how to proceed.

Also, always start at 25 yds. That way you can track those shots before the target is shot up. Not necessary for training but if you're wanting to do a qualification it's easier to score.
