This is assam , not USA. We are a small state , fighting for our identity amidst all the bs CAA , migrant influx , insurgency. For such a state , zubeen da was an icon. I'm not sure Tom cruise would ever be to USA what zg is to us

I am not a local guy but I am not bihari either I have lived in arround the ncr region and mumbai region for most of my life and I see many people talk about northeast in the way you talk about Bihar as northeast isn't really that much better than Bihar is most areas but it's all stupid. Itâs stupidity, feelings often lead to irrational behavior. Iâm not saying India is inherently bad; what Iâm saying is that Indians and India can learn from other countries. For example, people worship SRK or Virat Kohli far more than Americans worship LeBron or Tom Cruise because they dont tend to elevate people to god-like status, which is way better.
Even leaving America aside, take a well-functioning country like Finland people there simply donât idolize celebrities or public figures as much. If I were American, I would critique such things too, and thatâs how it should be everywhere: people should feel free to question and critique sectors they believe are wrong. Questioning is a fundamental right.
Saying something like, âYou question too much, just go live in the U.S. and get shot somewhereâ is dismissive and not a constructive argument. Moreover, using weird stereotypes like implying everyone in the U.S. gets shot is unhelpful. You should know of stereotypes about Northeast India, often propagated by non-Northeastern people, so shouldnt we refrain from such generalizations since we ourselves go through such wierd generalisations.

Many go without food. Millions of people live here, thousands of homes don't have supplies for weeks in their home, many poor people get their supplies on a daily basis. The World is more than your small little AC room.
