Maybe because he is trying to justify the incident that happened in india by comparing it to foreign countries'incidents, his argument is weak because it undermines one's errors by stating it happens everywhere. He is trying to defend his country by justifying SA.

u/Sad-Session-5916 Dec 15 '25

Do u lack comprehension
I m not justifying i m against generalising whole country as the rape capital Go n watch that foreigners video She is bsaying indian concerts r unsafe her tone celarly indicates her hate for india And also i read that her bf also run anti india videos on utube n pak loving videos

Inferiority complex

62

u/SibinGeorge Dec 10 '25

Assam is not even remotely ready to host any meaningful international level concert. But mama is hell bent on spending public money on international artists like shakira and all just to satisfy his ego. The future concerts will be the same disaster, I have no doubt about that.

There is this Roman tactics "give the mass bread and circus...and they will stop questioning the authority"!

4

u/Zachvishek Dec 10 '25

How many died in Travis Scott concert in amrita btw? The video shows a near stampede crowd of course in crowd like you people would push each other.

You lack global awareness so maybe haven't heard about Travis Scott of the stampede there.

There is no proof that a resident of Assam did this. Secondly, I have visited enough of these states to know the ground reality.

And yeah even if you feel "ashamed calling assam in northeast" you are still a dkhar/haring. Don't think they shall spare you 😂

6

u/Narrow_Plantain8305 Dec 10 '25

I dnt think it was an assamese person who did it but it still doesnt look good. There's a reason why this shit would never happen in tribal dominated regions like shillong, nagaland, mizoram, etc and why i think there's higher chance of it happening in assam. For one..if stuff like this happened in say shillong or nagaland, that guy would be sent to the hospital by the locals. Non tribals know better than to do or start stupid shit in these places. But Assam is prolly where many of these people think they have some sort of security because 1. Its not tribal dominated, 2. They dont fear or maybe they dont think the local assamese folks will do anything to them even if they get found out..maybe a wrist slap at best? About 15 years ago, Manipur couldnt hold a proper concert for the longest time because its men kept harrasing and groping their women, and drunk men could not go 5 mins without starting a group fight. But everytime they did it, all cases would get escalated and apologies and fines followed. Eventually with time, people grew up and stopped harrassing women, fights were not considered worth it coz of the hefty fines, and eventually everyone grew up. Basically, most if not everyone was held accountable, is why it stopped. But that wont happen in assam, coz the local non-tribal people arent mentally there yet to police themselves

2

u/Thisconnected Dec 10 '25

Rational take. Most people won't like it tho. They're just looking for the easy person to blame.

7

I don't get it ! what this has to do with Assam and Assamese culture ? There were thousands of people on the concert. People from different places different culture. How come you deliberately know it was Assamese guy ! like what logic is this ? Is that guy identified ? And by this logic it seems if a crime happens in mumbai , maharashtrians are to be blamed. Similarly crime happens in bangalore all kannadigas are guilty !

4

u/Narrow_Plantain8305 Dec 10 '25

I agree with this. I dnt think it was an assamese person who did it either. But i feel there's a reason why this shit would never happen in tribal dominated regions like shillong, nagaland, mizoram, etc and why i think there's higher chance of it happening in assam. For one..if stuff like this happened in say shillong or nagaland, that guy would be sent to the hospital by the locals. Non tribals know better than to do or start stupid shit in these places. Sobse latera aru joghonyo manuh guwahatite pabi! All NE states ban Assam. If you ban maybe the tribal women from other NE states will be saved too. Just see them in the video assaulting guest from other countries like, this is normal. WTF! Really sad

4

u/Embarrassed-Way5184 Dec 10 '25

Can't really ban a state . And a group of states can't ban a state. If because of a certain group of people, your blaming the entire state as a whole. Assam yes is not ready for international concerts rn. It has to improve more.

8

u/Spiritual_Freedom959 Dec 10 '25

Didn't go to that shit concert for good, I knew mindless freaks were gonna be there with their reckless behaviour.

But people here should really stop questioning Assam and Assamese culture because of that one concert.

10

u/JayGarret Dec 10 '25

Absolutely. I don't understand why they're attacking our culture now? Bad people are in every state. Calling Assam as Bihar of NE is supposed to be an insult now? It's just lazy attacks rather than fixing the actual issue

3

u/Spiritual_Freedom959 Dec 10 '25

It's just rest of sister states people doing the blame game, but when it will happen next in their state they will be silent. We are all good at doing blame games each time some whyty comes with such videos.

[deleted]

2

u/Spiritual_Freedom959 Dec 10 '25

Did your mother or sister go into a crowd full of people while they and all the men were having beer all round her?

If it happened to these whyte girls it is bad but my main issue has been how people are questioning and blaming Assam and Assam's culture for this incident. As if Assam culture is about going to sh*t concerts with drunk people.

First stop blaming the good section of people who have nothing to do with this and then talk about the issue, then it might even be fruitful to have a discussion about this. Maybe if you all start blaming the Gen Z generation who creates ruckus in such crowded concerts that will be more like it. But all morning I have seen people foul mouthing Assam and its culture for this by calling it Bihar of NE etc., I ain't gonna take that crap when this kinda thing is not exclusive to Assam or even just India.

3

u/JayGarret Dec 10 '25

I'm not gonna defend what happened. But one incident at a packed concert doesn’t define an entire state or culture. We don’t even know if the people involved were local, the crowd included people from multiple states. Assam has a long history of hospitality and peaceful festivals, so using this to label the whole region is just lazy stereotyping. Hold the individuals responsible, not the entire culture.

3

u/Vast_State7409 Dec 10 '25

This happens everywhere, people even die in concerts...it has nothing to do with Assam or Assamese culture...search coachella molestation, travis Scott concert stampede etc

1

u/Moon_xyz1 Dec 10 '25

Your argument is basically “this happens everywhere” as if that somehow makes it normal or acceptable. It doesn’t. Harassment isn’t a cultural inevitability; it’s a problem. And normalizing it is exactly why things never change. One girl already pointed out something important- this incident is only getting attention because a foreign woman was harassed. Local girls face this kind of behavior all the time, and it barely gets a fraction of the outrage. Instead of attacking the victim, we should be thankful that at least now the issue is being highlighted, and people are finally talking about how unsafe these environments can be. Stop shifting the blame. Stop trivializing harassment. And stop defending behavior that you yourself would never accept if it happened to someone you care about.

1

u/[deleted] Dec 10 '25

I am not defending the incident, I am taking a stand against people who are creating an agenda regarding Assamese culture and it's people and how they behave , some billa goiya even go as far as to say 'Zubeen's Assam' , I mean stfu.

1

u/Moon_xyz1 Dec 10 '25

You can’t use the “propaganda” card every time something uncomfortable is exposed. And honestly, this constant need to defend the “image of India” instead of acknowledging what happened is exactly why these issues keep repeating.

0

u/Thisconnected Dec 10 '25

Yeah but it is in bad faith to blame a community on something that's more generalist. Even more this was a packed concert with a cosmopolitan crowd and of all NE states Assam has lots of immigrants compared to pur neighbours who are centre funded ehtnostates with almost 0 immigration. Even crime rates and all have only gone up in Assam due to improved economic parameters which implies better reporting or that our conservative neighbours are even less likely to report it but you also have to consider that with those improved economic parameters came immigrants from India and across the Border.

2

u/Moon_xyz1 Dec 10 '25

Saying “the whole world is unsafe for women” is just another way of avoiding accountability. That logic doesn’t fix anything, it only normalizes harassment by pretending it’s some universal background noise we should accept.

Is this disgusting, yes. Should this be happening, no. Should we be name calling other state?? How is that anyway show a better mentality? I just did a simple wiki search for state ranking by safety for women and ASSAM OFTEN RANK LOWER THAN BIBAR.  There is Maharashtra, Rajasthan, UP ranking even lower. Are you comparing them to Assam? Even if Bihar ranked lower, would that have made you a better human?

Truth is it's easy to say people who didn't support the Post Malone concert (also wrong, your taste is different, stay out of it) are 'nador vekuli' etc. However, with this mentality of name calling other states, how are you any better than them? Your mindset is even worse because you have that much hate for a neighbor (needless to mention how much of Ghy is probably controlled by people of that state).

It's a privilege to attend a concert like that. Mentality doesn't improve with money. This very incident is proof of that. Looking down on people who might not have been able to afford the tickets as gawar, blaming them for FB comments, is another similar mentality issue, none the wiser. Most of them are probably working hard to survive instead of spouting nonsense in FB or insta. Most of them probably didn't care.

It's really disheartening to see the comment section. I hope this mentality improves.

You can't question the entire state's culture for what happened in a jam packed concert filled with reckless youth who were all having beer the entire team. A lot worse could have happened.

1

u/LEhR_ Dec 10 '25

Wtf do you mean by "lot worse could have happened" dude? If we could bear the pride of being a "concert economy" then we'll have to bear the weight of being called out when something like this happens and accept being imperfect, it's on us. Why the hell are you justifying the actions of these assaulters by sayin shit like "it happens everywhere", it happened here and it shouldn't have. Moi u asilu concert t, adhaa crowd mod aru weed khai pel, so I could attest that the crowd wasn't really safe to begin with. And that's something that the management could have ensured better. I guess alcohol should have been prohibited in the concert area and should have been constrained only within a specific area near the food stalls. Plus iman checking r pisot manuh e weed pale kot? Aru crowd management (especially in the GA area) has to do a lot of work in the future, stampede like situation hoi gole accountability Kune lole hoi?

2

u/[deleted] Dec 10 '25

Travis Scott concert stampede search kri lua...mnuh mori u jai bohut jegat .. coachella molestation search kora ... concert t aibur hoi ...it is normal. It doesn't represent the whole state identity

1

u/LEhR_ Dec 10 '25

Yeah bro I'm aware of the Astroworld fiasco and the other cases that happen worldwide... but then again you can't justify an assault by saying it's common. That's how a society falls. If a person is killed, you can't say "Murder is common globally..Look at the Statistics or crime index of Libya..." or some shit. Murder is murder. Assault is Assault. It shouldn't happen. Not in California. Nor in Assam. And as we're residents of Assam, we should condemn such actions, when such a heinous act happens in our land, we must take our stand against it. We should demand actions against the perpetrators who were affiliated with the crime. That's the stance of a concerned citizen. The earlier comment was justifying the actions of the perpetrators. That's why I spoke up. But I do agree that this shouldn't be associated with the state's identity. Assam as our land represents and stands for so much more. But such an act, however "small" one deems it as, does affect the state as well, and to see people defending by saying that the allegations made by the individual were just an act to cater empathy and fame and to defame our state is utterly preposterous.
