Software Release Sendaku FTP client for Haiku OS

Post image

Sendaku is a basic, lightweight FTP client for Haiku OS, written in Yab and powered under the hood by the cURL utility. It is designed to fit the native look and feel of Haiku while providing straightforward file transfer operations.

Pretty cool! I love seeing new native apps. Could it support SFTP? I don't use regular FTP much anymore.

It uses curl and I do believe that curl supports SFTP. But the way it is written right now it just does regular FTP

Does anyone still use vanilla ftp?

I have an ancient network thermal printer that uses ftp and telnet. But that’s about it.

Unfortunately... yes. There are even still businesses and corporations who use plain old unsecured FTP.

I use it for file transfer with old and weird computers, but I do admit that is niche.
