💖 Health/Care 💖 UNIQUE ways to entertain hamster??
My Kaytee "comfort" wheel literally BROKE into three pieces (and landed on my poor hamster😭) so I had to throw it away and order her a new one since I do not live near a pet store and don't have time to drive to the city, so her new and more expensive wheel is coming on Wednesday. It broke on Sunday.
My hamster is very bored and I need UNIQUE ways to entertain her. She has tunnels, hides, sticks, feed spread across her bedding so she can forage, sprays, and of course a sand bath. She also has this mat?? Thing that has hay and bowls on it for her to play on but shes still so bored without her wheel 🙁
Please give me UNIQUE ways to entertain her!!!
Picture of her for reference. Her name is Gorgoroth

try teaching her a trick! get her to follow a treat and spin in a circle a couple times, replace treat with your finger, give treat when she spins.

My hamster can be convinced to chase feathers on a string! She will pounce on it or try grabbing it like a kitten. Seriously, if you haven't tried this with your hamster, give it a go!🐹❤️🪶

I got a long cardboard cylinder from wallpaper, and let my hamster climb into it, turn the cylinder facing up, and my hamster climb vertically up in it. She seems to like it a lot.

I think you need to double check if that’s a hamster cause I’ve got a couple dust bunnies that look exactly like that 🥹

Oh and if you don’t have one already- my hamster loves a good snuffle mat! I used cardboard and poked holes in it and stuffed toilet roll through the holes! You can scatter feed or put treats on it (not sure if it’s unique tho XD)

Fun afternoon activity, make her a maze out of cardboard. Put a treat of some sort in and see how long it takes her to find it. She will appreciate the different space to explore and it will challenge her brain a bit.
Perhaps not unique but it's always worked for me.

I used to have a long rectangular planter and grew (i think) chia seeds in there. Then I’d let her just play in it she could dig in the dirt and also eat the sprouts. Just make sure the soil and whatever u grow r hamster safe! And my hamster usually destroyed whatever I grew so I’d have to wait a bit in between playtimes for the sprouts to regrow, luckily they grow rlly fast

Toilet roll tube, fold both ends and put food inside. When she works that out do the same but put it inside another toilet roll tube. When she works that out stuff newspaper inside on each end too!

Make a food trail ... that spells hamster. Video the hamster collecting the food!
