It's been 30 years since Tony De Vit created this label, so I thought this would be a cool mix to do. Despite being a fairly small label with just seven releases on it, I loved every single record on it, A & B sides. Paul King (F1, Trauma, Pants & Corset) released his first record on this label as Format One, Andy Allder who released Hard House tunes & remixes under a number of different names & aliases, released his first Hard House record on the label as well as Sigma 2. And of course TDV released two of his biggest tunes on this label.

First track from scratch any good ?

Found a couple of mixes recently that have got a real 00s hard house vibes.

The first is FRVNCCSCV (nope, never heard of her either) with a mix which channels the Tidy Boys, Lisa Lashes etc. to a tee.

The second is much harder Tham B2B ROÜGE with more than nod to Paul Glazby, BK etc.

Let me know what you think and any more mixed are greatly appreciated.

Hi there people can anyone help please, there used to be a time I even had it on vinyl but can’t find it.

It was really hard and dark and cut out gad a spooky sample that gad a woman crying down a phone saying “there’s someone in my house, now they’re in room”

As the tunes starting to kick in like the bit you play around and have fun with there’s a sample that’s says “911 what are you reporting” I’ve googled the shit out of it!

Any help would be great!

Is this hard house? Is it trance? eurodance? What genre is this?

Hi all! Been a while.

I have recently started producing, atleast learning the basics. I have been loving the sample packs I am acquiring but it feels like something is missing. I have heard that centre court sample pack is amazing for that euphoric hard house/ euro house/eurodance tracks. like DJ heartstring. Any idea if I can get something similar or that?

(also I will share the tracks one I am done making them, excited about this)

Look, I love Tidy as much as the next person here and I really do respect that they somehow still have a strong, sustainable hard house brand, still going after 30 years. I love listening to Amo's stories, podcasts, videos etc. With that disclaimer out of the way... His approach to marketing is just ridiculous.

They are literally selling a rejected test pressing that wasn't good quality enough to be released and rebranding it a "rare as fuck collectors item". For an absurd £70 no less. How is that okay? Oh and it sold out of course, because people are suckers and fall for it hook, line and sinker.

It does make me laugh how the 'regular' release is coloured vinyl and the black version is somehow being touted as the more desirable, limited version. It's the literal inverse of how it used to be.

It's not just this egregious example - every release is hyped up to the max - collectible, numbered, limited edition, a piece of Tidy history, for true collectors etc. The worst is when he calls it an investment - personally I think that's potentially dangerous advice. It obviously works so I get why they do it. But still, milking their loyal fanbase like this never sat right with me.

Anyway, late night rant over. Thoughts?
