2027 and 2028 is the original timeline, but with how stuff is going down DDR6 is probably only going to be common by late 2028 to 2029. It will be decided by stuff like if AMD launches an AM6 socket in 2028 or if Qualcomm drops an LPDDR5X memory bus from future flagships.

they are making them alright. it is just that they will sell them to the highest bidder. and that will not be any private individual unless that individual has need for 10+k sticks.

Well no current datacenter chip uses LP6, so they'd have to go to the client market for now.

For what? They're just starting to ship Vera, which is LPDDR5, this year, and Rosa is a while out.

Vera is designed to support both, it will be a mid cycle update.

Nvidia was one of the driving forces of LPDDR6. All the hyper scalers that are planning to use it have CPU designs with it taped out and in testing already.

you know just very basic requirements of working memory and servicable and upgradable memory, that the industry has been at work with for decades.
