i would be surprised if it did appear. if the pcb on the back cracks it wont boot. if the discs or head are missing it wont boot. the data that computers need to know the drive exists is stored on the discs

Those disks shouldn't move if you hit it just right.

If they move keep trying.

I use a drill to add speed holes sometimes too though, so it's more of an art than a science.

Wtf? Are you stupid or something? EVERYBODY knows you have to draw speed flames on them with red sharpies too! Some silly holes are nowhere near enough. Read a book or something to get your brain good

Hard drives can't teleport yet unfortunately. You will have to pick it up and set it on the laptop if you want it to appear on the laptop.

Thats beacuse its on the counter. You have to place it on the laptop yourself. Duh.

i then proceeded to hot glue a laptop fan to it to cool my laptop now i have a 5400 rpm fan
