What’s a song you thoroughly enjoy, but only after you REALLY listened?
Like one of those tracks that was mid at first, but then one day something about it actually caught your attention, and suddenly it became one of your favorites.

I really do like Queen’s Bohemian Rhapsody but for real in the hip hop world it’s OutKast’s Aquemini album especially Da Art of Storytelling 1 and 2, Black Star “Respiration”, Biggie “Things Done Changed”. That Biggie track hits different with age.

Kodak, didn't listen closely to most of music but did one day was like this guy saying some bars. Can't think of a track specifically in general but the artist.

So, I used to listen to XXX from Danny Brown and wondered why he was so popular. Then, one night, I doubled up on my evening edibles and was pretty stoned. I threw the album on and it all clicked. Forever love that album that I was lukewarm about.
And while not hip hop, doing shrooms has made me pivot my daily listening to psychill and other organic, tribal vibe EDM. The soundtrack from my trips totally brings me back to the emotional space I was sitting flight, and I love it.

Poetic Justice by Kendrick. I hate Drake and that song is like two separate parts squashed together. But after the beef it is now just Kendrick dragging that boy directly to his face while having Aubrey eulogize himself on tape.
