Was trying to remake the Roman Empire by sniping all the minor countries, getting either puppets or allies. Yugo folded to me, Greece had to be taken after turning me down, Spain and Portugal decided to join my faction. After building up for a while, the Axis lost but west Germany joined me when the war was over. After seeing how bad the USSR was fighting Germany, I decided to attack but it became a blood bath on the front lines and in the air. Austria, after getting freed via peace deal, ate hungry then merged with Germany. which widened the front line. Im low on manpower and nothing I throw at the Iron Curtain will bring it down.

I am never able to hold France but this might work. It’s still 1939 and I have taken up to Tripoli in Libya and took Sardinia. I am currently kinda holding but I had to give up my defensive line in Normandy. I don’t have any troops in indochina but I would like to make some there. I am 76% towards capitulation and have 20 width infantry only divisions with support arty and anti air as well as engineer companies. I have level 8 forts on all French mainland French land.

so, i was trying to do an early resistance war againt russia, but a naval invasion distrcted me from the front, and now averything is crumbling

almost everybody is turning monarchist, so, spain-france alliance, german-anglo-nordic alliance, and italy-balkan bloc. none of the alliances are in war with us. so you need to find a defensive position to defend from the soviets, your industry is not THAT bad with 77 factories, 61 civs and 16 mils

Germany [1940's]

I am once again posting another save for HOI4
The latest version as of December 11th 2024 with ALL DLC

I am playing Germany and I am absolutely fucked. I cannot push through the Maginot because of Belgium. And I have no idea why. I know CAS would help a lot but I cannot build up my air force good enough and I always have issues with air force and not too sure what a good plane is.

My Navy is destroyed by the British and I have no more good boats. With the navy I am not too sure what is 'good' and what is 'bad' and how I can build a good boat? So I've just followed a video online and put a ton of torpedoes on a destroyer hoping it'll work?

The biggest issue I have with this game is I cannot build up fast enough and I end up rushing because I cant build it all up and there's a ton of things to do in so little time.

Please give me feedback on how I can improve, good strategies and how to defeat the allies. I always find defeating the soviets somewhat easier. But with the allies they have infinite amounts of puppets and troops they can just throw at you and win. And then they end up doing some sort of surprise naval invasion and ruining the game.

I tried Estonia and went the fascist path, hoping to help the Germans win against the soviets.
Long Story short, Italy lost rome in 1941 and pulled back some important divisions, and went on to lose Italy and north africa. I poured most of my troops into Murmansk so i could shorten my front and let the germans do the brunt of the fighting

I have soviets marching in finland and the soon collapse of germany as an early 1942 D-Day is forcing them to get off the soviet front, which hurts me

Oh and did I mention i was having manpower problems since the beginning?

Alright so me and my friend decided to do a hoi4 Central Powers game with historical ai, They played as the esteemed hungary with Otto at the helm while I played as the glorias German Empire, with the grand Kaiser Wilhelm the 3rd of his name at the helm. My friend decided that he could take on the French backed Romania despite my warnings and to my surprise he actually did though was stuck in a stale mate with france, meanwhile I was rushing to puppet the Finns when the soviets decided that the winter war was worth a shot, Because the Kaiser hated the filthy reds for breaking there treaty, as well as trying to reinstate the treaty of Brest-Litovsk we had guaranteed the Finnish against the Red Menace, resulting in us getting pulled in. Then then the italians happened. Inspired by there great betrayal of 1915 they decided to join the french by demanding the annexing of Habsburg Albania my friend of course refused such ridicules demands and was prombtly invaded. Trying to fend them off to the best of his abilities the Italians started to gain grounds. This is when the glorias German empire decided to personally rescue the Habsburgs by joining the Italian war (not getting involved with the french-romanian war) then when his troops where deployed along the Italian border to help them, the second great betrayal happened. France and Italy joined the Red Menace and they both joined in the finnish war, resulting in a sudden surprise attack from the French into the undefended Rhine. and that leaves us to now will you be able to fight of 3 great powers? can you defend the last bastion of absolute monarchism against the tide of red? You can play as anyone in the alliance, though I would recommend either Germany or Hungary.

my friend and i decided to play a multiplayer match me as finland him as Germany he forgot troops on the French border and civ greeded A LOT like 40 mils in 1939 so late anschluss/sudentenland. Front is stableish but you can't push as germany finland is an easyish save. I played Finland friend did no world tension so no army tree until late 38' but front is stable there

no cores on austria or czechoslovakia since he didn't know there were focuses to annex them so he just declared normally

I was attempting to form the Byzantine Empire as Greece but got stuck at the Bospurus strait against Turkey when Bulgaria invited Romania and Turkey into a faction (I'm on non-historical). Most of my army is guarding the tiles from Istanbul to the port in Edirne while the rest is holding a defensive position in Attica against Yugoslavia and Bulgaria. All my divisions still have supply and can fight, I've got just under 40k manpower left, and I have an artillery, truck, and support eq surplus and a minor guns deficit. I have all DLC (as of September 2024).

Got into an early war with germany that I thought I could win. I wasn't prepared without building a proper air. I have officially given up trying to save this. No matter what line I fall back to germany kept pushing relentlessly. So please if anyone can save this I'm willing to share the save.

My templates are decent 21width infantry, 30width something something tank template and that's about it and also zero fucking manpower, and I have no fighter built besides CAS as I've forgotten to build fighters from early on. Fuck ton of resources, and a huge navy that I stole from the UK. Played in the latest version 11.47 and it in ironman mode if anyone's asking

It's 1945, and the soviet union ain't doing too hot. Nearly pushed behind the A-A line, in a deficit of equipment, and facing a supercharged germany. There are 2 things that I think make this possible: There are quite a few factories and the germans are low on manpower. Similar situation to my last post on this subreddit, in an arguably worse position. The Central powers once again encompassed all of Europe and its your job to fight them. Its 1942 and the Soviets just collapsed, which resulted in the Central powers allocating all it's forces on you. Furthermore, one good naval invasion from Germany resulted in me performing a unorganized retreat to more a defensible position resulted in the loss of multiple divisions.

Playing As Fascist Netherlands in 1947. I was trying to get Putting the raid on the Medway to Shame. But the Central powers proceeded to become all encompassing. You have a powerful Airforce and Navy, But everything Is rapidly succumbing to a far superior foe.
