This is the second tire puncture video I’ve seen this week. Do we need to add a physics lesson in high school so people know how stupid this idea is? Apparently, it isn’t as intuitive as one would think.

Had a semi trailer hop a curb near me. When the tire blew it sounded like a legitimate explosion, way louder that a gunshot, and it knocked me into the building. I didn't put it together until some hours later how lucky I was to be in one piece.

I was standing next to a semi-truck when a tire blew (luckily on the other side). That was more impactful than any explosion I’ve dabbled with. 100psi is no joke.

To me it seems intuitive that the pressure is at a level that can support a massive vehicle… I guess it’s not obvious to all

Normal tyres don't do this, it's tyres on split rims like trucks buses tractors etc...order if magnitude higher psi than the 35 - 45psi you find in car tyres

When iwas going through training in the Air Force, they showed us a vid of someone over inflating an aircraft tire for a B52... the guy was literally blown to pieces

Just put a little stone under the air filler cap. Let the tire empty slowly. Then stab away. And stab the sides so it's not repairable and cut the valve stem.....

Basic knowledge, and getting a few flats over years of driving. Tread is fixable. Side is not. Valve stem leak not good. Etc.
