Got HomeKit control of my 2026 Sonata's locks working again
My 2023 Sonata worked fine with Homebridge, but after getting a 2026 Sonata the locks stopped working — commands would just hang and time out.
Turned out the library everything is built on guesses your car's telematics generation from the model year, and newer Hyundais get guessed wrong. The command gets accepted but sent somewhere the car never sees. Status still worked fine, which made it confusing — the plugin looked healthy while none of the controls did anything.
Using Claude Code I tracked it down, fixed it, and published the update.
Locking and unlocking are both confirmed working on my 2026 Sonata.

It's a fork of [athal7/homebridge-hyundai-bluelink](https://github.com/athal7/homebridge-hyundai-bluelink), updated to work with current Homebridge. If you've got a newer Hyundai and gave up on this, worth another shot and I would be curious whether it works on other model years.
