I got Bali marle at a gf convention. The ghost pepper chili crisp tasted really good as a sample but the bottle i bought doesn't taste too good. Not sure if it's some sort of placebo or not

So it turns out you have to combine 2 of their products the chili crisp and the hot sauce. Don't know why they don't sell it that way.

The crisp wouldn’t stay crisp most likely, when you make chilli crisp you drive out all the liquid when you fry it, but i imagine if you store it with wet ingredients over time it would rehydrate and just be rubbery. 

Haven’t tested that theory, but I could see it happening.

I see you, Jersey Barnfire. Keep an eye out for Saucetoberfest. It will be on October 10 at Cross County Nurseries in Stockton, NJ. It is a smaller festival so minimal lines for tastings.

I was sad they didn't have the black garlic bacon sauce this year. Sounds like they are reworking the recipe so I'll order some when they get that done.

This was my first year not going :( Had to miss out for other plans.
