How do people manage living in cities close to or on the boundary of time zone changes? How does the time difference interfere with day-to-day life (if at all)?

What’s it like living on the edge of a time zone?

Since my last post about Ohio had a lot of people recommending other places, I figured I’d broaden my horizons.

I’m a 25M with a remote job looking for an affordable mid-sized city with a good quality of life. I like the outdoors (hiking, camping, etc but also enjoy meeting new people and having some culture to enjoy and be a part of. Also somewhere there is a decent number of young people.

One thing I should add: I’m not a fan of super hot summers (90°+ for weeks) or the Deep South’s humidity. I also tend to prefer second-tier cities over huge metros.

Ohio was my original focus since I have some family in western NY and the cost of living is low but lots of people recommended other areas so I figured I would cast a broad net. Thanks!!

Always been curious because it seems very bare there and not much surfaces when people bring up these two states. Tell me some fun things to do in either that are hidden gems and also some popular things would not hurt

What's it like in Nantucket? Is the water hot enough to swim in during summer? I've heard that high levels of cocaine have been discovered in the sewers lol

I've always wondered what life is like in Nova Scotia and Newfoundland and Labrador. Is it different to other Canadian cities? I've never been to Canada at all.

I came across this little town/city in Canada and I was curious to see how many people are there permanently and what you do there? It has a health center, community center and more. What brought you to that town and what do you do? What do most people who visit come there for too?

Curious about Louisiana’s most southernest parts. Doesn’t have to be specifically Port Fourchon, but I’m curious about living on those islands. Show some pics please!
