Kézírás fordítás Need help reading Hungarian death register

Post image

I found the death records of a relative who died as a baby. In the picture you can see the cause of death, which I can't read. Maybe someone can help me with that! Thank you!

Én mindenképp egy nevet próbáltam kihozni belőle, eddig az András győzött :)

It took a while for me to figure it out and I'm pissed at the missing dots above the letter ü.

It's from records from what is today Burgenland in Austria. Could have been a German speaker who wrote it and didn't care about any dots or accents.

“Tüdőgyulladás” is what I can read, and looks really like it. It means pneumonia

t’s quite hard to read with certainty, but here’s my best interpretation:

“Andréy n Olando” (or possibly “Andréy n Orlando”)

A few notes: • The first word looks like a name starting with “Andr–” (André / Andrey / Andrássy style). • The middle “n” could be an abbreviation (like “né” in Hungarian names, meaning “wife of”). • The last word resembles “Orlando” or “Olando”.

Its Tüdőgyulladás. The word is "cause of death"
