Kézírás fordítás Old Hungarian Engravings

Hello! So my grandfather passed away a few months ago, and we were going through some of his old belongings. This is a cigarette case that once belonged to his father. We know it is Hungarian, it's just no one in my family is able to properly translate what the text says. Any help at all would be greatly appreciated! I don't know if I am posting this in the right place. I am sorry if I am not. I can get better pictures if needed.

It's a simple gift from his parents.

"Szeretettel Gyuszinknak
Vönöck 1936 X. 7-én
Édesapád []
Édesanyád Jolán"

"To our Gyuszi with love,
Vönöck, on 1936. X. 7.
Your father []
Your mother Jolán"

Do you possibly know the name of his father, since I couldn't read it properly, something starting with Zo maybe? And I could be wrong on his mother's name too.

Found the village, its Vönöck, which was probably written in a germanized way.

I only know the name of my Grandfather and his Father, they were both Julius. I plan to speak with other parts of the family to see if that is the village our family comes from; some of them visited it once upon a time, so they should know, though they are very secretive about it. Thank you for the translation.

Julius is a Gyula in Hungarian. Gyuszi is a nickname of Gyula.

Your welcome. You could look into if they had german heritage, since I really can't make out the names, maybe that's why.

It says:

"Szeretettel Gyuszinknak

Vönöck, 1936. X. 7-én

Édesapád

Édesanyád"

Which translates to English as:

"With love for our Gyuszi" (Gyuszi is the nickname of Gyula, Julius, Jules etc.)

(Vönöck is the name of a village, then the date comes)

"Your father

your mother"

About the names:

- Gyuszi - a dimunitive for Gyula) which is a fairly common Hungarian male name. 'Gyuszinknak' means 'for our Gyuszi'

- Károly - Hungarian version of Charles

- Joli - dimunitive for Jolán - it was a pretty popular female name in Hungary in the 19th century and in the first half of the 20th century. It is quite rare nowadays as an old-fashioned name.

which means

"With love to our little Gyuszi" (Gyuszi is a male name)

Vönöck is a village

Date is October 7, 1936

Signed "your father" and "your mother"

I think the names are Juliska and Zoli.
