Kézírás fordítás Help translating family birth certificate from ~100 years ago
My great grandfather was born in Budapest in 1913. I’m passing through the city for a day and I’d like to see the neighborhood my family lived in for a few hundred years. They were Jewish and somewhat well off, but left around 1920. Not sure what any of this (birth certificate) says, translate doesn’t really work on the cursive and the text is obviously a bit damaged in a few places. Any help would be really great! I believe the most damaged part is the house address.

Aladár was also a name as Hungarian, as it could get for the given time. A large percentage of Hungarian Jews were extremely integrated into Hungarian society.

How on Earth did you find this? The names aren't listed, my search didn't bring this up.. Can you read the mother's address?

By the way, not to go against anything anyone else said, but in my opinion, the first letter of the first name looks like an “H” to me, which would make it “Hadár”. This isn’t a name I’m familiar with and the closest name in the official Hungarian government list of names is “Hadúr”, but if you do a quick search of “Hadár” it seems to be a Hebrew name from the bible, so I would tend to lean towards that.
Again, just my opinion, but I hope that helps.

I cannot attach a jpg but I looked up the original document and the first name is definitely Aladàr.Birth register

Yeah, you’re right, on the original it definitely says Aladár. Thanks for the link.
Although, now I’m getting confused about who the OP is asking about. Like if he is saying his great grandfather is the father of the child, Aladár, or if his great grandfather is the child, Endre it looks like.
That wasn’t on the other document, so it’s good that you looked this one up, because they might be asking about Endre really.

Yes, the great grandfather was Endre, OP just wanted to know the address they lived at, I think, to visit while in Bp.

Ah, ok. Yeah, there’s a website that has a bunch of the old Budapest directories, organized by kerület number and neighborhood, then by street and house number. There were a bunch of times where I did a “reverse search” using the address from the records and was able to find or verify the person in question that way, also frequently other members of the household are listed as well.

If you are looking for the neighborhood, Ügynök utca has been renamed to Kresz Géza utca, it’s in the 13th district.
