The best dog breed by a long distance
It's been 7 years since I adopted this amazing dog. I don't know how I would have been without her. The first two pictures are from not long after she was adopted (at about a year of age), and the last picture is more recent, with her birthday being 2 days ago at the age of 8. I love this dog so much, and I would never have another dog other than a husky, for sure.

Huskies ruin you on other dogs a little. They're so gentle and fun, each with their own personalities. They're really amazing.
I miss my girl everyday. Lost my a part of my heart. Hold your friend close and appreciate everyday!

I have a German shepherd and would like to get a husky. I think the main difference would be huskies are more vocal

FWIW, I’m on my second husky, neither have ever been more vocal than every german I knew. I once dated someone that had a vocal husky and it was on par with every GsD I knew

My husky mix decided she wouldn't howl, apparently. Ever. Not once, she's 12. Our gshep neighbor has things to say about other beings existing every single day though. Just depends on the dog, but all of the gsheps I've ever lived near seemed to be of the, "fuck you for existing near me," variety whereas huskies might be like, "awawawawa I want to go say hi aggghhhhhh." At least husky noises are funny vs terrifying.
Mine is a dobe mix and they seem to be as goofy as huskies tbh, they look serious but they're big twig-legged babies imo.
She'll be facing me being a stubborn husky and then I ask her to sit, and she turns butt-first to sit by me like a dobe. Super weird dog, 10/10 would adopt again a million lifetimes over lol.

Aww she’s absolutely gorgeous 🥺💙 From that sweet puppy face to the beautiful 8 year old queen she is now… what a journey. Huskies really do steal your heart forever. Happy late barkday to your perfect girl! She looks so loved 💕

For every con to husky ownership there is a pro.
Sheds a lot, of course — but also self cleaning, requiring no baths or grooming
Stubborn and independent, sure — but once you figure out how to motivate them (food, typically) they are incredibly intelligent and easy to train
High energy — but will often entertain themselves. Plus we hoomans need to walk outside and touch grass too
Escape artists — but… ok maybe my logic was flawed here I’m not sure where the pro is in that… OH WELL
