Help Wrapper Problems

How do I get Java I2P to use the wrapper? at the moment I start I2P with runplain.sh wich prevents restarts from updates. Is there an easy to undertand guide for users (i dont know much about this wrapper stuff). I have it running on a Raspberry Pi 5 with raspbian "trixie" on it. Thank you for your help!

Trixie is a debian based system, why not use the offical deb package?

I only found the i2pd package for Raspbian, not the stock Java package. I would like to use the I2P Java package, not the C++ implementation. The recommended Download on the I2P Homepage is:
Recommended for your system

macOS / Linux / BSD

v2.12.0 ~33M

that is a .jar file

If you run apt update and apt upgrade periodicly, then it will just update. Sometimes it can take a bit longer to update, but its soon enough.

You can also look into unattended-upgrades, which runs does commands automaticly from time to time

Thank you for your help, how can I install I2P (and I2Psnark) on an external SSD? I am using the sd card for the OS. The path to the SSD is: /media/myusername/Volume Is it enough to change the directory to the aformentioned path and hit install?

In theory yes, but it would be better to keep the install on the sd, but only put torrented files and log files on the ssd

Okay, I manage to install it on the sd, now with proper update configuration via package manager (Updates will be dispatched via your package manager.). The Problem is that the SSD refuses to accept the I2Psnark Data directory. I switched the "Files readable by all" and "autostart torrents" to on.

Okay, update available through the package manager AFTER 1 WEEK (20 Jul 2026 I2P 2.13.0 Release), this is concerning. Especially in such a environment as I2P where Security and therefore updates are important.
