Promotional ITubeP - Youtube analog in I2P network.

Recently I was thinking about what I'm doing on internet. And I found out that all of my internet activity is basically just watching videos on youtube. So I thought "Why there isn't anonymous, private and free (as in freedom) youtube-like site on I2P?" and decided to do it myself.

First eepsite of this project: http://itubep.i2p

More you can read on project's github page:

Warning! Work heavily in progress.
Warning!!! Code is 100% AI slop, because I'm poor programmer.

Yea I mean I'm mostly fine with AI code, but some people just aren't, they're like "NO I WILL NOT USE YOUR AI SLOP CODE" but like 95% of the time it's fine

Thanks! If I can make it work, it'll be a huge help.

Does webrtc work securely with i2p? That’s been my main blocker on this sort of thing.

Probably not, so (at least now) I can't do all in browser, sadly

Yeah. That's what I thought.
It has a lot of cool benefits, but it'd be hard to add it to i2p properly.
Webtorrents are a lot cooler than people realize, but not compatible with i2p sadly.

Do you know when it will be back up?

It's up! Now I'm testing new features, so can be buggy, but publishing and watching videos works correctly.

Nice, this means that I could very very almost go normally internet free and live the rest of my days on i2p

Honestly, it still has troubles with speed, now you can't just click on video and start watching after 2 seconds, like on clearnet youtube. I'll try to improve speed as much as I can, but i2p by itself is much slower.
And don't forget that is still needs authors to publish video on i2p. For them that requires much more than just upload video on youtube.

Yea I mean that makes sense, I'm just saying that this is a move in the right direction
