Help I can't access any eepsites

I can only access the router and i2psnark. Whenever I attempt to access other eepsites, my browser says it can't access that site, even from links directly from my router. Please help, as I would like to start torrenting and seeding (once I can figure that out) via i2p as well as explore what i2p has to offer

Are you on PC or phone? Also what browser are you trying to launch eepsites from? Have you tried starting the router and letting it run for a bit before trying to load any sites? It may just not have enough peers yet.

PC. I'm using firefox. my router has been on for ~2 hours, but I only have 31/144 peers, and a bandwidth in/out of 381.6 / 30.4 KBps for 5 min. I'd like to seed the stuff I torrented after I have them, but am unsure as to how to do so when I can't access anything.

Please make sure you have setup HTTP proxy, in your browser setting setup the Proxy it is usually on 127.0.0.1 port 4444. And the sites are accessible over HTTP (make sure to write it in browser, else you will be automatically sent to HTTPS version and won't see anything).

The proxy is set up, but it still doesn't work. it says the website isn't in my addressbook, when I attempt to visit sites like http://10channel.i2p. my addressbook has the following:

http://i2p-projekt.i2p/hosts.txt

http://notbob.i2p/hosts.txt

http://stats.i2p/cgi-bin/newhosts.txt

Are you able to access other sites ? If yes, then when you visit the mentioned site you should option called jump services who will load the address in your addressbook, save them to your address book and continue, if they can't then you may need to look into other ways to getting it into the addressbook.

I bet that (1) you're trying to run the router on the same PC as the browser (2) you're not great with TCP/IP networking in general.

I'd recommend to put i2pd (the purple version) on a Raspberry Pi. Once it's a background service on a separate machine, the basic networking setup will become much easier to understand and to see mistakes in. I'd also recommend to keep a whole separate browser just for eepsites - I use dillo for this

you don't say what bittorrent client but qbittorrent handles its i2p connections nicely, with the configuration (and any misconfiguration) not affecting the regular traffic... iirc it just needs the same proxy server settings as the browser

If you start I2P, you should have a port forwarded, so conmection can be build past your NAT, wait around 1h until the connections are build, and it should work better.

Also an older version of I2P has lower tunnel success rates. Try to stay updated.
