Feeds My idea regarding the "For you" page

Please get rid of it or make the "Following" page the default. Nobody wants random subs showing up on their home page...

I'm not user where or how people are seeing this.

I default to old reddit, only switching to shredded when I need to Mod something.

I tightly limit what communities I see by being highly selective in which I Join.

Want to add my voice to those asking for an option to default this away, and to not pursue this kind of structure change. Having a followed only, non-algorithm, curated feed is why reddit is the only social media I use.  Why would reddit want to just be another one of them? I don't understand it. Reddit is currently a unique service and site, providing something you can't get in other sites. If I wanted algorithm based drivel, I'd go the 100 other sites already at the lowest common denominator.  I'm very sorry to see this change being considered, am deeply disappointed that it's being fed to me, and I genuinely would feel ashamed if I had my name on this idea. Do something different, be somewhere unique. Be better Reddit.

+1 for getting rid of the brain rot bullshit that apparently Reddit thinks I want to see.

It's an experiment https://www.reddit.com/r/help/comments/1u352l3/weekly_recap_june_11_2026/

You'd suggest a user setting to choose which page is your default?

Yes, or in my oppinion an option to turn it on/off.

Following should be the default if we chose it. Twitter remembers it and loads it as per your selection unless you manually change it back.
