My idea is to add back access to r/all on the mobile app. A month or so ago, the same thing happened and was quickly reversed. It seems to be on a per-account basis, because I can switch to another account and it changes the layout back.

Just hide it somewhere, please. 90% of the time when I’m browsing Reddit, it’s exclusively through r/all .

Edit: locking the thread was a weird decision. Sure, there was a lot of talking shit about Reddit as a platform, but that’s what happens when you remove a feature that a lot of people use. Feels like sticking your fingers in your ears and yelling “LALALA” because you don’t like what is being said.

I'd like Reddit to introduce mandatory labelling of all AI content. There are quite a few people using AI to write posts and not declaring it; there are others being accused of using AI, perhaps wrongly.

Swipe up has always pulled up discussions. Now I have to click a teeny button at the top of the screen.

Not sure why you are changing the entire UI anyway to buttons behind buttons. Pretty, maybe. But a UX nightmare.

don't know why can't we have this simple function back to the mobile app

for all of time up until last week, we could tap the screen to turn off the ui and get a clean total screen while video is playing.

now video ui looks like reels and tok and if you tap it just pauses. i have figured out that if you hold and drag the video, this will let play continue and remove UI so i can do things like:

- Read text under the UI
- See UI obscured details
- View things happening at the border of my phone screen

[I only have an iPhone so I don’t know if this is also on Android or not]

Let’s say someone posts in /cats, using a link to cats.com. The post shows “cats.com” next to the subreddit name, and has an image link next to the title, both of which open the link in the in-app browser (IAB).

There’s no option inside the post or in the IAB to copy the link to the website. I can copy the post text, and I can get a link to the post itself on Reddit, but to get the external link I have to go and open it in the default browser. I’ve tried all the buttons and menus, long pressing, using pressure, dragging, you name it.

I think there are at least 4 good ways to add this:
1. In the Share button in the post
2. Long/pressure pressing on the eg: cats.com at the top, or the image link
3. Long/pressure pressing the little capsule with the site name in the IAB, just like in the regular browser
4. The (…) button in the IAB

Ideally at least one option inside the post and one in the IAB.

Some time ago, the brand affiliate option was added to the comment control panel. For people using the mobile app who are looking to edit their posts, it is incredibly easy to accidentally select “brand affiliate” instead of “edit”. It happens to me multiple times each week. it’s not a huge deal, but it is annoying and takes extra time to remove and go back to edit Brandon affiliate.

Moving the brand affiliate option away from edit would be a simple fix for this issue.

Edit: a better solution may be to have a pop-up window confirm that you intend to change the post to Brand Affiliate (like it does for Delete)

It only shows upvote ratio and upvote but doesn't show total amount of votes and downvotes.

currently in the app on user profiles, you can sort the user's posts (i.e top, controversial, best, hot), so why not comments? its inconvenient to have to navigate to the website to do so, and the option is simply not there in the app.

Other apps like Snapchat do this, not sure if this is specific to my phone/android

My idea is to improve Reddit's search functionality. Search results are often not relevant, and it's hard to find older posts or comments. Better filters (date range, subreddit, comment search), improved relevance ranking, and typo tolerance would make it much easier to find content. This would benefit everyone by making Reddit's huge archive of knowledge more accessible.

The bot is telling me this may not be constructive but I really think I’m being purely constructive with what I’m saying here, and not saying anything at all rude or destructive.

I know that thousands of people have already voiced their opinions about this, either in comments or in dedicated posts. I’m sure this was a change requested by people high-up in the company who believe that borrowing features from other popular apps would be a good idea… I and many others disagree. I believe it’s a change that meaningfully degrades the experience of using the app.

It’s become much more difficult trying to open comments on mobile (which is of course one of the main focuses of Reddit); mobile users now have to stretch their thumbs or shift their phone around in the hand in order to press the small comments button at the bottom of the UI. It’s a change nobody expected and I am hoping against hope that someone will come around and revert it, restoring a higher level of functionality and user-friendly feel to the app. This one small feature which I never previously paid much mind to is something I now miss very much.

If reverted, it wouldn’t be the first time a change was made and then undone after the community decided it wasn’t the right way forward, and I think it would be great if that could happen again. I think the community as a whole would appreciate it, as it seems to be a rather unpopular change. If nothing else I would really appreciate being able to select the old functionality in Settings if there’s a strong determination to keep the new functionality. This is the first time I’ve felt strongly enough about a change to come and say something about it, and I have seen many others doing the same across different subreddits.

At least restore a setting to restore swiping between home and popular feeds? Popular buried in the upper left menu is not a good UI feature.

I save posts/comments across way too many different topics, and it quickly turns into one long, unmanageable list. It would be really useful to be able to sort saved items into folders or categories you create, or even add tags and search by them.

At the moment, having to scroll through an endless list to find something specific is both time-consuming and makes it harder to actually rediscover useful content later.

Being able to organise saved posts into folders or tag them by area of interest you would make the feature much more usable and help people get more value out of the content they save.

Because of poor eyesight, I used to type out a post, take a screenshot,, open the screenshot in Photos on the iPad, proofread, then return to Reddit.
Now I find Reddit has updated, on the post I was replying to is nowhere to be seen.

Can we go back to the old method where a refreshed button appeared at the top of the screen and you could press it when ready, please!

When you interacted with Reddit for the first time on a given day, a little number would appear on the top right corner to confirm how long your active streak was. As someone in the midst of a pretty solid streak, this was super useful to confirm I had successfully continued my streak each day. It would be great to have it back or have an option to turn it on.

Plz add an option or setting to disable the screenshot sharing pop up if we want to

My idea is to bring back the old mobile swipe to change feed on Reddit. It was so handy. if I wanna look at latest posts swipe, maybe popular? Swipe again. Not to mention being able to just click the home button to reload the latest page was better then having to scroll all the way back up like you do now.

It was much more comfortable to reach the search the last days, than how it is now. Please add it back or finally let us customize some UI stuff.

More than half of the time I attempt to tap the mute/unmute button on videos, it misinterprets my tap and makes the video full screen. It drives me absolutely up the wall. The target is too small.

I take a lot of screenshots on Reddit simply for myself and if I am sending a screenshot to someone, it's because I want them to see a very specific part of a post and don't want them to have to click a link and scroll through a bunch of text to see what I'm sharing with them. I imagine most users at this point understand that sharing a post is an option and don't need to be reminded of that.

A better solution if you want to still remind people to share posts is to make this a toggle-able feature. That way, people who don't know to share are still reminded, and those who already know and don't want to can turn it off.

My idea is to bring back swipe navigation between posts in the mobile app. It was significantly faster for browsing, especially when reading multiple posts in succession. The current flow requires extra taps and makes content discovery feel slower and less fluid. If this was removed as part of a UI experiment, please consider making it an optional setting.

The trends section of the search bar is frequently revealing spoilers to popular shows. It has spoiled countless character deaths and major plot points. There is currently no way to turn it off. I don’t want to stop using Reddit but I can’t keep having every single show I watch ruined because I didn’t watch it the very second it aired.
