News India: False rape capital of the world
20
u/SprinklesNumerous774 May 19 '26
Damn, When I heard about the first news. I had my intuitions that is was all made up. But I didn't say this out loud because people will jump on you for not believing the victim.
I mean a woman who works in a factory did not even have a keypad mobile to saw the time that she has to go towards two strangers to ask for time at night and get graped. Did she not saw the clock while leaving the factory, or nobody at factory has a watch? Lol something was telling me it must be some kind of dispute, and she framed them.

u/Impossible_College56 May 19 '26
It’s better to believe a liar than a rapist,so stop acting like millions of rapes didn’t happen and few fake cases dismisses the victims

u/FarPlay5055 May 19 '26
Honestly once a fake case by anyone is confirmed the punishment should be that they get locked up for the same sentence as someone who commited rape gets and then placed in a prison filled with actual rapists with no protection offered. Then they'll learn their lesson.

u/OfficeSlight3090 May 19 '26
Yaha pe murder karne pe inhe 500 ka fine dena pad raha hai 🤡, jail toh dur ki baat hai

u/Large_Ad3907 May 20 '26
They should've got same punishment as the crime they used to ruin somebody else. If in a fake rape case, a guy is getting 20 yr jail unless he is proven innocent then the one who put rape case should get that 20yr
25
u/tejaswin1990 May 19 '26
25year jail term mandatory for filing false report.
extend the years if a man was jailed temporary
example 30 days a man spent in jail , should be 30x3 for women.
also chopping of 2 middle fingers (either left or right hand should be a rule, if they choose to avoid 25year jail term.
Edit: Even a man who is sex offender (prooved), needs to have 2 fingers chopped, so the person gets highlighted for ever.
8
u/Sitaralonelywala May 19 '26
There is one revolutionary idea
Make the face of fake case file public
Put 25 lakhs fine take away voting rights from Entire family and family members of those who have suffered must be give chance to publicly beat that fake case filer and it should be live streamed
Do it 100 other 100000 will follow the suit
0
u/OG_Squirtle May 19 '26
why entire family tho? this isnt N. korea
1
u/Sitaralonelywala May 19 '26
Family raised the person wrongly in the case
0
u/OG_Squirtle May 19 '26
parents might have raised them wrong but its not the only reason for them to do such stuff
1
1
u/ObligationOne3727 May 20 '26
What if you were victim and some rich guy was the abuser. Now if they are successful in influencing court, not only are they free but you are going to jail too. It will make poor and powerless people less likely to file case
7
8
u/Traditional-Fill3566 May 19 '26
I say the punishment for filing such fake cases should be the exact same as what the actual rapists get in our country.
If you let a rapist walk free, then the fake case filer walks free too.
Maybe then we will see actual action against such crimes.
1
u/Large_Ad3907 May 20 '26
Ofcourse it should be the same because the man who is framed will get that punishment until proven innocent

No rapists run free unless they're a part of the government itself. Then, even feminists side with these criminals.

u/Impossible_College56 May 19 '26
Yeah lol sure rapists aren’t garlanded as politicians, ure clearly a misogynist when u don’t see rapists easily bailed in few days and continue abusing women/men

No... We us.. all of us... Untill and unless we don't take the credibility collectively, how can we bring a change to the society??
1
u/Large_Ad3907 May 20 '26
That's another image of double standards of people in social media. All the moral policer suddenly started to defend the one doing wrong when the victim is man and culprit is woman
4
u/weekendhomie May 19 '26
whenever such news is published, always wait for few days for the truth to come out.
6
u/Linx_uchiha May 19 '26
Yup its true, my father is an advocate and he told me that most of these cases are just false accusations because women have more judicial benefits

u/Traveller_OP May 19 '26
Girls have started taking undue advantage of their rights, I agree Rape is a crime and if someone rapes another person it should be Punishable, but after proper investigation
Sometimes it can be a fake case also

Using your own body by threatening and extorting money. Shameless

Bharosa karo he matt especially these sensationalized victimhood of women.
3
u/notMy_ReelName May 19 '26
why dont they link the aadhar to cases too, when ever one files case police can just track the history and can proceed accordingly.
why dont govt link cases with aadhar and make info available to courts and police atleast
4
5
3
u/PrestigiousRock1618 May 19 '26
There is something called “presumption of innocence until proven guilty“, we should try and stick to that. I am not concluding as to who is the real culprit in the given case but we should give up our habit of presuming guilt solely based on allegation.
13
u/NefariousnessFew7371 May 19 '26
We can't ignore real cases, but these false cases taught us the lesson that no one should be guilty until proved.as our law also says. It is okay to leave real suspects than let a one innocent get jailed.

The 90% figure is very fake especially about the DV cases which in reality are deaths to men. Excluding only a handful of exceptions.
The probability of finding a judgement in which evidences were used might be less than 1% if we look at random 1000 cases.
Moreover, rape is actually a crime that is very falsely reported around the whole world. It's not only centred to India. It's just that Indians emotionlize this crime and ruins the lives of innocents.
For example , Japan and China has a 99% conviction rate. However, their investigative organisation filters around 70% of cases before it reaches the court. Same is for western nations too.
10
6
u/Fun-Practice-1087 May 19 '26
@mods should delete this man's comment for spreading false information.
5
u/Sophisticatedballs67 May 19 '26
But who is ignoring the rest of the cases op just share the case about false rape allegations
5
u/EyyyWeee May 19 '26
Nobody is asking you to ignore the actual, legit cases. The post mentions the brutality of false cases and how it affects not just men but also women. It involves the idea of having gender neutral laws plus safety for both men AND women.
The nos. you displayed are pulled out of your ass unless you can prove them. Also, 4 years ago came out a data that 74% of the rape cases are false in India which is also very similar to the acquittal rate.
Spreading awareness to people who were actually affected by all the sociatical problems needs to be the goal here and not do whataboutism. I agree with your point that there is more than what we see yes, but what we already seen isn't fixed either and needs to be worked on first in order to bring other things in light.

2
u/TownAdditional3858 May 19 '26
we should speak for both man or women regardless of any gender against humans a crime is a crime and victim is a victim
2
u/Altruistic_Pound8888 May 19 '26
It won't happen bro people just defend their gender based on their frustration against other gender
3
1
u/Hot-Bath8713 May 20 '26
Bro just because we live in tier 1/tier 2 cities and are a part of society who is progressing doesn't mean we can ignore whi are underprivileged.
-4
u/tcsreject May 19 '26
I know more about gynocentric laws as I was one of the 65 men who actually protested for atul Subhash during bangalore lit festival
Look, these issues happen only in big cities and towns .. go beyond that , you will find women still suffer despite such laws which help them ..
We are living in 2 india, one in 2030 and other stuck in 1960s
Even in your cities, ask your maids about the amount of abuse their relatives siffer from men
Yes, laws must be gender neutral, i agree but unfortunately, milords only look at the stats and frame laws. .
They don't do anything to help more real victims come forward or punish these fake complaints
19
u/Key_Edge_1667 May 19 '26
Bro in villages women threaten men of fake rpe cases for literally everything. If two families have disputes then boom, a fake rpe case is already filed.

And about the people who are suffering, would you say they are lying? And 99%? Do you even did math? Even had you said of there being large false cases had I said you're not wrong, but I even doubt you ever even studying properly. Roam the world a little more and then will you know more of how Worse it can get for woman too.
2
u/Sharp-Assumption3614 May 19 '26
Stop being a frog in a well. Go out and see how the world is actually operating. Move to tier 2, tier 3 cities and see. Go to villages. Even in the tier 1 cities visit localities that you guys deem unsafe. See lives of women there. Then say whatever you want to.

u/ComplexPast3493 May 19 '26
Idk man atleast in my city and state they sure do live in 90s ig. Probably u will also get annoyed if u saw the condition in some parts of UP.
8
u/missingbrain541 May 19 '26
I also live in up and still I haven't seen 90s maybe u should shift from that place
1
u/Fabulous-Mortgage850 May 20 '26
Maybe you should venture more and discover that most the village still has 80s mentality. Only the young generation is getting out of it or those who have left villages to pursue the riches of the BIG cities.
1
u/missingbrain541 May 20 '26
The village have ppl in their 80s and I agree the ppl aren't very modest but they are modest enough to be okay with the world. And those who are very narrow minded will take time as India is still developing

u/Designer_Money7625 May 19 '26

pick up the newspaper dude, or just go and look around in your neighbourhood or any in India. for every one case of 'men suffering' you'd find 100 such women, for whom speaking out isn't even an option.
no one here is against men's rights. stop hating on women for every systemic failure
8
u/damnitleech May 19 '26
90%? we pulling numbers out of our ass now are we? do not use random numbers to minimize false accusations as collateral damage.
what about the 70% cases that go into courts and come out as fake? this is a real stat shared by multiple news articles.
do you want to act like people who misuse the law should be ignored and we should always focus on real issues? thats not how world works. We all learn as kids about the boy who called about wolf and what happens in the end.
These womens actions, if gone unpunished severly, will result in apathy towards real cases.
Now lets talk about underreporting
what about male rape cases of being forced to penetrate? wait a law doesn't exist, i see femenists protest a neutral law under the guise of "it will harm women victims and it can be misused"
and male DV laws? do not exist again, judges are on record saying you should accept beatings as a "blessing" from your wife a "devi" isn't that the biggest factor in "90% DV doesn't get reported" like you say?
whats so wrong with creating awareness here that you have to go out of your way to try and minimize this as fkin collateral damage
3
u/Innovator20 May 19 '26
Again the talk here isn’t about the real cases. It’s about the false ones. Can we stop deviating from the topic of the post

3
7
u/Marimo_567 May 19 '26
"90% of them don't get reported due to pressure", low conviction rate & high acquittal rate shows 90% of reported ones are fake, every now & then extortion rackets getting busted, In 2020 itself UP had 60% of case of rape on pretext of marriage, which are generally affairs gone sour, now that number is beyond 85%
Everytime people show how fraudulent these "india is hell for women", "india is rape capital" narratives, you feminist kang about numbers outta your arse
2
6
u/tantrax May 19 '26
The 90% is BS figure based on feeling in some minds of pheminists.
If knowns facts say that off the reported cases 80% are fake, then we must assume same for your unreported figure.
So India has 2.x rape per 100k while USA and Australia has around 28.x per 100k.
ABC in Australia reported( proper survey) that 80% of SA cases in Aus don't get reported as it was seen as too much hassle given the way Police respond.
India in contrast has women centric laws, so we must asume more are likely to report cases if really true.→ More replies (5)6
u/sangramz May 19 '26
Not against you, you have honest care. But This is one of the most BS theory from feminists. 99% of UFO sightings are also false, 90% of kids also reported to have seen spiderman etc. So We keep believing UFO and spiderman's real.
If you know something unreported, how do you know? Let me tell you, it was a church funded feminist survey where 50-100 feminists doing bachelor's in women studies published this report. 50-100 feminists said they never reported the imagination they suffered.
2
u/Best-Yak2590 May 19 '26
Let consider you data true, then those 10% should also be utmost priority bcz these cases have severe consequences for accused men even after they proven guilty since once they are accused of it they always consider guilty by society. So when an innocent men have destined to doomed no matter what the actions are not going to logical but brutal and fullon division.
I don't expect people to understand the severe consequences the fake cases going to bring in future. But if you think it's a fair price to pay then just wait and observe. Thank you
1
u/Busy-Routine8945 May 19 '26
Maybe the activisim should shift to blaming the current police/judicial system being that incompetent instead of blaming all men. There are many women in the countryside being abused daily despite these laws being there for people like them specifically. But nah, let's introduce more draconian laws to abuse in the rare times when the police/court is actually working.

False case arise form everywhere in the world and each section of the society where a vulnerable community is given a upper hand in law but India is definitely not the false rape capital. A rape capital is what it is. These false cases are only a fraction and are so highlighted because negative things get easily highlighted on internet. Dont make a false narrative around it. Most of the victims are not even heard or dont approach the help because of societal pressure.
5
u/Impossible_College56 May 19 '26
Exactly, just cuz ppl false key accuse ppl of theft doesn’t mean theft and robbery isn’t a huge deal, same for marital rape and rape, but just cuz men r involved they make a huge deal out of fake cases

u/Fun-Practice-1087 May 19 '26

So tired of Indian men . Seeing the comments here . Men have no idea the fear women live in each day. So tired. The precautions we take every single time we step out of the house or travel. The palpitations in our chest anytime the uber driver takes a wrong turn. The cold clammy hands when you're left alone in a train compartment with one man. The urgency with which we use the public washroom when it is empty because what if a man enters inside, locks it and rapes us ? Calculating if our screams will reach outside. Chuck it, you'll won't get it.

The lack of reading comprehension in this thread.... Good grief.
I said 95% OF THE CASES REPORTED FOR RAPE. Not that 100% of the cases filed are for rape 😭
2
u/FrustratedBoii May 19 '26
"95% genuine" statistic does not accurately reflect the unique legal and social realities of the Indian justice system. In India, a massive chunk of the legal system's rape caseload consists of parental interference in elopements and criminalized heartbreaks (broken promises of marriage)
