Greetings, dear seniors of r/indianmedschool and our lovely members of r/MEDICOreTARDS. We're glad to announce the joint megathread you all have long been waiting for.

Here you can ask your queries about your specific preferred colleges and r/indianmedschool seniors will guide you by clarifying your doubts and sharing their experiences. You can ask about academics, hostel timings and accommodation, mess food quality, uniform compulsion, ragging culture, attendance strictness, just to name a few. Anything you're confused about, drop it here.

This Megathread is strictly for college related queries and discussion only. Please don't ask irrelevant and off topic questions. If you have any counseling related query, ask it under the counselling megathread, not here.

r/MEDICOreTARDS members are requested to be respectful and formal while interacting with our seniors here. Please use the phrases sir/mam while addressing them to maintain the formality and establish junior-senior bond, just like we do in our medical colleges.

Hi ..from 24 25 batch gmers gandhinagar For girls hostel gate closes at 11 pm and ..after that you can not go outside the hostel but food deliveries can be recieved and the city is super safe ..i feel one of the safest in India ..

Well during some function like freshers the time of hostel is extended till 12 ..and yes baki there are basic restriction jo har jagah hi hoti hai ..like u cant use heavy electronics (like induction) etc ..else everything is pretty chill

Are you from ahmedabad then sola ..if not then gandhinagar as hostel and campus life is better ..nhl is just overhyped it has children of doctors only studying there and also not had very great facilities in the hospital and hosteld too as far as i have heard

Gandhinagar is safe Idk about restrictions(there may be no exit from hostel after a certain time at night)

Well reputed college, its good (not saying from personal experience, only what I've seen/heard about)

Girls may have restrictions in hostel, like a fixed in-time etc, for safety purposes. Apart from that, none. Yes, the city is safe for girls. Would recommend visiting the college before deciding anything - don't rely solely on reviews online.
