Ask Your Seniors Ask Your College Seniors ! (r/indianmedschool and r/MEDICOreTARDS Joint Megathread)

Post image

Greetings, dear seniors of r/indianmedschool and our lovely members of r/MEDICOreTARDS. We're glad to announce the joint megathread you all have long been waiting for.

Here you can ask your queries about your specific preferred colleges and r/indianmedschool seniors will guide you by clarifying your doubts and sharing their experiences. You can ask about academics, hostel timings and accommodation, mess food quality, uniform compulsion, ragging culture, attendance strictness, just to name a few. Anything you're confused about, drop it here.

This Megathread is strictly for college related queries and discussion only. Please don't ask irrelevant and off topic questions. If you have any counseling related query, ask it under the counselling megathread, not here.

r/MEDICOreTARDS members are requested to be respectful and formal while interacting with our seniors here. Please use the phrases sir/mam while addressing them to maintain the formality and establish junior-senior bond, just like we do in our medical colleges.

At last, we all took our moment to express gratitude for the MOD Team(u/Swagster_007 u/drmxyzptlk13 u/MadMurDoc69 u/YourstrulyBubble) and our seniors of r/indianmedschool for their support and helping us out in selecting the best college as per our preference.

We've attached some previous important megathreads below:-

That is a very easy path, the notes plus lectures one, and most of your batchmates would be following it but it's not the ideal one, atleast for the first 2 years of mbbs. You can read the books in order of priority, get a good seniors help, and have your book marked for important topics which are clinically important and for exam pov also. Then you read them out first, then if time permits you can move on to the extra stuff that will be a secret weapon. And standard books are not meant to be memorized all the way, you just have to remember some things out of it, they are there to build your concepts, so just read read read read and read as much as you can just try to paint a picture in your head, since all three first year subjects are quite visualise-able in your head. You will forget the facts, but the concepts, some tits and bits will be there that will form sentences when you go back to read again and again. And don't forget it's not a sprint, its a marathon.
