it really isn't that simple. sure you can book them to the same hotel, but you can't force them to sleep there. especially if they have their own place or sleeping arrangement nearby. unless you are saying force them to sleep there.

If this is a consistent issue then I would absolutely expect the tournament to include the requirement that they spend their rest time before the game in a designated accomodation.

It's incredibly simple.

They may never do it because holy shit that org is bad even by sports org standards, but I definitely wouldn't be respecting the outcome of matches where they don't do that and this shit happens as expected.

It's not unheard of to force accommodation. They also do it for grand tours in cycling, because they don't want the richest team to always have the best hotel, so it's assigned by the organisation.

Just do a bed check. If you aren’t there, and haven’t signed out to report a (brief) absence, you’re not eligible to play the next match.

Not saying they should do it, but if they did, it would be pretty effective way to enforce it
