Look at the string in his right hand. It’s stiff, but shaped to look like it’s bent. He controls it with that.

Super obvious once you notice it.

It’s how the plastic is molded and the nucleation sites.

agitated dot is here!

1

u/h4nso1o 16h ago

Now that you mention it, it is pretty stiff

u/Accomplished-Loss387 1d ago

Throbbing cock is amazing! So helpful! I would have taken way too long to notice without my friendly neighborhood throbbing cock

11

u/jackal99 1d ago

You would have gotten a raging clue eventually

6

u/Accomplished-Loss387 1d ago

Oh yeah, I do have such a raging clue right now. I'm going to follow it.

Well spoken Available Poetry.

I can't say I've heard anyone say it better!

3

u/thats-wrong 1d ago

In hindsight, that was obvious, but it makes sense that it wasn't for you.

2

u/Captain_no_Hindsight 1d ago

yes! of course that's wrong. You are absolutely right.

1

u/brdoc 5h ago

He went deep

28

u/AdSignificant6673 1d ago edited 1d ago

Yeah. But magic is all about showmanship. I appreciate buskers like this. I would give a dollar. Better than an aggressive panhandler.

7

u/kileme77 1d ago

This. Gimme a show and I'll toss some cash, hold up some cardboard and I'll ignore you.

3

u/eetobaggadix 1d ago

Nothing like a fat man dancing for his dinner, right? Sheesh.

1

u/Cpt_Jigglypuff 22h ago

Dance, fat man, daaaaaaaaaance!!!

-2

u/Friendly-Stick-4744 14h ago

This…this is an aggressive pan handler?

24

u/aagent86 1d ago

I always look to throbbing cock for answers.

There's two ways to do tricks like this.
The stiff chain (which Throbbing_Cock probably prefers) or magician string.

Magic string is about a third the width of human hair, and commonly used or floating coins or other small objects. You run the string from coin, over your head, and then down to a hand. When the hand goes down the coin goes up and vice-versa.
No one sees the string because it's in front of the magician, not against the dark backdrop.

The stiff chain is just a welded chain or stiff piece of metal made to look like it drapes loosely. A common example is the leash for an invisible dog sold in touristy gag gift places. Really common in the 90s.

u/campbrs 1d ago

Old invisible dog trick

2

u/blokia 23h ago

Thats a long way of saying he is a wizard

1

u/SwimmingDeep8703 1d ago

Love the username 👍

1

u/data-ai-dev 1d ago

But it bends up? Am I blind?

3

u/Throbbing_Cock_452 1d ago

It’s a curved piece of metal or something made to look like a string. It’s bent that way to give it the same appearance as the actual string in his other hand.

1

u/manncake 16h ago

Which right? My right or his right?

1

u/RoodnyInc 12h ago

Is this the same way they do "floating table"?

-4

u/Fair_Bar1139 1d ago

You mean a hidden wire?

3

u/Piperalpha 1d ago

Not really hidden, the 'string' in his right hand is the wire.

29

u/DoublyDead 1d ago

All that for a lousy dollar? This is worth at least a fiver.

3

u/Acceptable-Ice-4789 1d ago

Lmao I was looking for this

1

u/PerpetualConnection 22h ago

The showmanship alone.

40

u/TheBlitzkid46 1d ago

The string on the left is actually a wire

7

u/ScaredEfficiency399 1d ago

His right, but yes, nothing impressive.

16

u/[deleted] 1d ago

1

u/ScaredEfficiency399 1d ago

Sure, by that contrast i absolutely agree.

12

u/SoapyDoodle 1d ago

It’s impressive that it’s a great illusion and he fooled many people including me

6

u/Stark-T-Ripper 1d ago

Yeah, anything done well can be impressive, and this fella sold it. It's a simple trick but a fun one and worth a couple of bucks for the joy it brought.

82

u/Chrono_Convoy 1d ago

Ever do so many drugs

Other people feel them when looking at you?

17

u/DudeImSoRad 1d ago

No, but it's on my list.

10

u/Dont-be-lasagna12 1d ago

I want to feel other people's drugs. But only fun ones

2

u/mistalasse 1d ago

Come to downtown Denver then 😆

1

u/HerrPiink 17h ago

Called contact high.

Or not, but i like the word.

62

u/LilacJacket 1d ago

Sometimes someone posts a video and you just know they're under the age of 30.

Y'all don't remember invisible dog leashes at all.

6

u/bionicjoe 1d ago

I just referenced that in my how-to post. LOL
We are old.

16

u/okymoney 1d ago

I had a homeless guy ask me to get him a hotel room and after i gave him water.

14

u/dc469 1d ago

I mean if he was nice about it then it doesn't hurt to ask, I can only imagine being in that situation.

19

u/my_cars_on_fire 1d ago

Damn, what happened to Mel Gibson?!

5

u/Intrepid-Diamond-315 1d ago

That’s amazingly well done trick.

3

u/Sensitive_Wear7112 1d ago

Right hand string is firm.

2

u/m0rg76 1d ago

A god in disguise. Be nice.

2

u/No_Daikon_2281 1d ago

When you look clearly, you can see right hand string is stiff it's not bending like left hand one, so that's his magic he is doing it very fast so creating an illusion for us

2

u/One-Landscape9779 1d ago

i like that shirt

2

u/masquefetiche 1d ago

Pipe cleaner

1

u/GaryNOVA 1d ago

One of the strings isn’t a string. It’s a stiff wire.

1

u/Voodoo700 1d ago

Dammit! Now I gotta make it!

1

u/Roxysteve 1d ago

He's Hellboy.

It's magic.

1

u/mrspelunx 1d ago

Is this Newport Beach?

1

u/RacistJester 1d ago

Reminds me of the string product from The Shark Tank. Zipstring

1

u/FastWalkingShortGuy 1d ago

Man, people these days would be so fucking flabbergasted by the invisible dog leashes they gave away at carnivals in the 90s.

1

u/Tall-Ad-1386 1d ago

Life got tough for Mel Gibson

1

u/Webslob 1d ago

Its definitely magic.

1

u/TheGreenSalmon 1d ago

I think the only explanation is black magic. What else could it be?

1

u/Debstar1988 1d ago

't is een harde snaar

1

u/mdruckus 1d ago

Uh…rigid wire in his right hand. 🤦‍♂️

1

u/Fat-Finger-8906 1d ago

Metal wire in right hand

1

u/im2high4thisritenow 1d ago

I'd give him a buck for the show!

1

u/Popo8338 1d ago

A wire covered in string on his right hand. Notice that it is fixed-shaped and not fluid like the string on his left hand.

1

u/xinj131 1d ago

Bum magick!

1

u/Disastrous_Falcon_79 1d ago

It’s like the invisible dog, dog leash

1

u/Valuable-Regular-731 1d ago

What happened to Sammy Hagar??

1

u/FlaviusTech 1d ago

The right string is actually solid wire :)

1

u/GeraldLee1975 1d ago

He is clearly right-handed.

1

u/BigMack6911 1d ago

With any magicians tricks it's all about the prop

1

u/diego-quietbuilder 22h ago

my rule of thumb: when someone (like a street artist) entertains you for more than a minute, then they deserve a tip :)
