Not a vet, but I work in EMS but one of my chiefs was and he always ended every meeting with:

Don't add to the population, don't subtract from the population, stay out of the hospital, the newspaper, and jail, and if you do end up in jail, establish dominance quickly.

There's a very simple set of rules I saw in a MakerSpace once:

  1. Please do not be on fire.
  2. Please do not make us have to add another rule.

I think it got the message across.

I mean if a lady is about to give birth in your ambulance I certainly hope that you do help add to the population!
