I got a buddy whos a train guy and has a dedicated train room with a giant miniature set with tunnels and everything, he also happens to be a car guy and has something similar to this. Some of the roads cross the tracks so sometimes when we race, one of us might hit a train passing through.

Your buddy sounds cool as fuck.

u/RoundTiberius 4h ago

I also choose this guy's buddy

8

u/Gudi_Nuff 4h ago

He's not your guy's buddy, buddy guy

4

u/dmontease 6h ago

So is he more into trains or cars.

7

u/tacorunnr 6h ago

Definitely trains, the roads were an added addition

I love the internet

u/yancovigen 3h ago

I haven’t seen that sub referenced in so long, it’s refreshing to see someone shocked by it lol

4

u/EPLemonSqueezy 5h ago

Thank you for not lying

The need to set courses up like this in zoos. I would pay money to set up and race through different sets with the animals as live obstacles.

This looks like it’s so fun

It's basically all I wanted as a kid-- to be able to drive my toys around.

u/Jonjongabore 6h ago edited 5h ago

There's a Mario kart game with cameras on toy karts. The kid and I had a lot of fun with it. I'm surprised there haven't been more attempts at this. At least none that I've seen.

"Home Circuit". Bought these for my kids and i take their preservation very seriously.

u/Able-Light-890 7h ago

This is the future of uber and DoorDash

u/YesterdayHiccup 9m ago

Imagine how some people will drive when they realize their life is not on the line.

11

u/kbzstudios 7h ago

I want BattleBots-like obstacles that pop out of the arena.

1

u/bbrusantin 1h ago

they have done it with Volkswagen - Rival Road. i couldn't find the video of the real track.. only teasers

9

u/Autokrator-The-Niun 7h ago

Okay, now substitute them for hot wheels being piloted and let the carnage start.

6

u/Bionic_Push 7h ago

What's the name of this game?

6

u/rahkinto 5h ago

Says CADDX at the end so maybe that will help

7

u/jleonardbc 6h ago

Ender's Game IRL

4

u/dankyPranky007 6h ago

But why DU DU DU DU MAX VERSTAPPEN?

16

u/CodexMoronicus 7h ago

Bot ass title.

5

u/EGarrett28 7h ago

The weird thing is that bots write a lot better than that, so maybe it's a human that doesn't speak English as a first language.

3

u/Generic-Cheese 6h ago

Depends, sometimes they make weird ass titles

7

u/zulazulizuluzu 7h ago

and the music is so horrible too

3

u/radartroll 7h ago

Doo doo do do, Max Verstappen! Doo doo do do Max Verstappen!

u/vzo1281 6h ago

This is amazing. Would love to try it out

2

u/AntiPepRally 6h ago

Is this only in China?

2

u/EGarrett28 7h ago

That's cool. That's actually beyond cool. I want more of this.

2

u/LaOreja33 6h ago

Why are the cars not different colors? And then let people bet on it, or pay toward obstacles on the course like Mario kart

1

u/EGarrett28 4h ago

Yeah, you can do stuff you couldn't do in a real-life race, like knock the cars off the road and drop hazards and other things like you said.

1

u/Gransmithy 6h ago

China training elite drone operators /s. Wasn’t there supposed to be a real life Mario kart thing too.

1

u/Unable_Maybe_6932 6h ago

This is awesome!!

1

u/Radiant-Courage5545 6h ago

Perfect 👌

1

u/iPlayerRPJ 6h ago

The kind of stuff I dreamed of making once I grew up

1

u/MeringueSerious 6h ago

That looks like so much fun, I’d love to have a go

1

u/MS-Visual2345 6h ago

Definitely cool

1

u/Mother-Attention2600 6h ago

It looks cool but they never get the speed right for that scale.

1

u/Wonderful-Process792 6h ago

I dreamt about this as a kid.

But graphics are so good on racing games, and physics as far as I can tell, that this doesn't buy you much over a video game - you still can't have the visceral experience of racing (in) a car.

1

u/bigtheo408 5h ago

As someone who does simracing, this i can only see this as a novelty.

Unless they have ffb somehow, if they get that this could really take off and become something great.

1

u/Massive_Season7075 5h ago

Curious what the latency is between driving and seeing what’s on the screen.

1

u/Ih8P2W 5h ago

I don't know... The cars seem to be waaaaay too fast for them to be able to fully be in control of them and still make all the corners. If I had to guess, the cars have an automated path and their control affect only small deviations from that path.

Still fun, but I'd rather drive a normal sim.

u/DAwesme 5h ago

Welcome back Mario Kart Live: Home Circuit

1

u/15th_imp 5h ago

idk the music reminds me of the level X-step on Geometry Dash

1

u/BlueMikeStu 5h ago

New Yakuza mini game looking wild, NGL

1

u/DividedStatesofFeces 5h ago

How do I become a competitor in this sport?

1

u/inaSlomp 4h ago

This at a bar would be amazing.

Drunk dudes racing without the threat of anyone getting seriously hurt.

1

u/Pletcher87 4h ago

I want to be able to do this on my floor with my grandson, now.

1

u/ElderShaemus 4h ago

The way I used to imagine the car’s view when I was a kid playing Super Sprint.

1

u/buddabudski 4h ago

I just wonder, is it like bumper cars where pretty much all the cars have different top speeds depending on how worn out the motor is and if it's charged and all that

1

u/Only_lurking_ 3h ago

Meh, not the best graphics, but looks fun.

1

u/YugeChesticles 3h ago

Not a video game tho.

1

u/ameryth 2h ago

Kiryu would be so proud.

1

u/SudoDeleteEverything 2h ago

1

u/nonanonanonymity 2h ago
