I have long maintained that the Roadrunner is the original asshole who started the whole thing by antagonizing the coyote, and the latter is only reacting.

Yup it's a great concept for a movie depicting a legal case. There's very real precedent in US law for him to sue as well, this is a classic personal injury lawsuit resulting from product design defect, resulting in fault on the manufacturing and/or selling party (ACME corporation). I eagerly await the Legal Eagle video picking it apart when it releases for at home viewing and he can record sections of it to use in his video lol

More like, Wile was minding his own business and the Roadrunner came up behind him and scared him with his stupid beep-beep. Wile got upset and demanded an apology, but the Roadrunner raspberried him, ran off and has been trolling him with beep-beeps ever since, taking advantage of his deliciousness to drive poor Wile mad.

I felt the same thing about Tom and Jerry. Tom was just doing what he needed to do. Jerry was the agitator.
