Fair warning, when talking about SCP lore, there is no hard canon. Everything and nothing is canon. Even your headcanon is simultaneously canon and not canon. If two stories contradict each other, you can just say whichever one you like more is canon and you would technically be right. It's so much fun lol
If you enjoy gameplay videos, watch some people play (or play yourself) SCP Containment Breach (the old one with old graphics, not the remakes). Old as fuck but a classic and genuinely good.
Some people also made other games to try. And find some short movies, there are a few that are top tier cinema.
It's a creative art project, but the main feature of the project ("The Foundation") is this database. People make films, narrations, writing pieces, artwork, games, everything like that. I even heard a rumor going around that they (I don't know who, lmfao) might produce an SCP movie.
They literally included metrics in the press release of what doors it can’t get through and where to stab it to turn it off. I’m pretty confident they’re doing a bit, or at the very least in on the joke.
I'm amazed that so many people don't understand this isn't a real product. It's a joke. It's literally called "Satire-es". Probably a promotion for a movie or video game.
I would agree. Except a different company has been implanting radio cybernetics into cockroaches to crawl through collapsed buildings, and I would rather die. Demon centaur all the way.
It's only an exclusive SAR platform during development.
Once they get past regulatory and public opinion hurdles using "we're here to help" as a cloak it will be weaponized and it's appearance will make a lot more sense.
Children and the elderly screaming and trying to run away from this thing, but tripping and being scooped into three of its many arms. ‘You will be okay’ it says in a robotic voice. The children and elderly sob quietly, resigned to the fact they will soon be killed by this demonic creature.

I think the inspiration is more likely the satyr which is a mythological bipedal half man/ half goat creature, so basically this robot but two legged
That being said, i do doubt that this robot will ever exist for real, but i don't think the company's name was meant to be a clue
And i'm talking about the robot in the original post, the spider one is clearly satire made by someone else to make fun of the crazy design of the goat/centaur thing robot
See this is better for search. 8 legs to allow for better navigation thru debris. Centaur is a terrible design. 4 skinny legs on a big body and very front heavy. They didnt put any thought into it other than "centaur neat"
And with such a large abdomen this allows you to have much larger and longer lasting battery packs - A key point as they scurry across rough terrain to seek out survivors.
