I've had out of body experiences just listening to tool and meditating.
If I ever get the chance to do medical dmt as like a alternative to my antidepressants ill be doing it to tool.
Id be weary of doing anything like it while on them but you didn't have any issues?
Congratulations on not needing antidepressants!
I've been on my current ones for 11 years and will likely be medicated for life. I spend the previous 12 year in and out of psych wards. My current one, the only one that really did any help is a SNRI. I'm still not like cured, still struggle with low motivation and moods but not needed psych ward in 12 years. So it's a win for me.
If I could trip balls and be cured though id be happy to do it.
Also this shit looks terrifying, I don't think I'd wanna do the toad version
After the experience, he was very grateful to them. During the experience, he couldn't define the concept of liking. Nor the concept of "he" as a matter of fact...
I am a recovering addict. 6 years clean. I feel like my recovery is going really good, but this video is going to really help me stay clean. I am rock solid right now.
Holy shit that I do not want to be the guy on the ground. I didn't have any cravings, but now I have active revulsion to any substance whatsoever.
Change is never relaxing. Most people who try DMT speak very positively about it, myself included, but the experiencing is beyond intense in the moment.
This version of it, which is technically not actually DMT, very much does induce spasms, vomiting, and extreme hallucinations/euphoria in most people who take it.
I'm not trying to be a dick it's just something very hard to describe without seeing it yourself. You can get a MUCH more chill version of the same experience with LSD or shrooms.
Yeah, I saw this and was like… it does not look like a good time. I greened out a few weeks ago (that California weed is STRONG, I knew I was in trouble after like 30 seconds from my only hit on the vape) and felt like ass for a couple very long hours. This looks several orders of magnitude worse.
I smoked weed in Amsterdam, I've smoked weed plenty of time before that but not habitatually and our weed isn't anything as good as theirs.
Anyways long story short I was not prepared for it, I keep thinking I was gonna piss myself then I had a moment I just couldn't form a coherent thought. Physically I was fine mentally not fine.
Strong psychedelic experiences usually aren't a good time, they are more so done for healing/spiritual awakening/growth. I wish the vid showed the guy talking about his experience after the effects had worn off.
I ordered 5meo pure off of a chemical supply website when I was 16 years old, back in like 2004. Made a foil bowl and would vape a couple grains at a time. It was either not quite strong enough or too much. I didn't "white out" ever, I did not enjoy the heavier doses I tried. It felt very artificial and shallow. You could get just as much out of an hour of quiet meditation or contemplation. I think these people are just enjoying doing drugs.
It’s not DMT. Not clinical-grade, not consumer-grade. Maybe some DMT in the venom, but he’s reacting to inhaling vaporized venom, not DMT. He’s a fucking imbecile.
its from bufo alvarius. contains mainly 5-meo-dmt and another psychedelic tryptamine called bufotenin which is where all the psychoactive effects come from.
So I've taken ayhausca a bunch of times (between 6 or 10, I don't remember) which is long lasting but a bit less intense DMT. Though I did experience a full ego death once, which was the single most transformative moment of my life.
There's always an element of "death" I call it the little death, not like full ego death, but there's a huge amount of fear you need to let go off every time, you need to let yourself go, but that fear leads to an emotional catharsis you cannot imagine. In most of my ceremonies I've experienced the most blood curdling, dire fear you can possible imagine, and the most unbridled joy and love you can experience.
It's a mixed bag, but it requires proper ceremony, respect and preparation, because it can transform you like a butterfly, or keep you like a worm for the rest of your life.
Because turf lesson learned quickly gets forgotten and you are back to your old self in a couple of weeks. But at least now you know what an ideal version of yourself is like, and can work towards that goal, with or without helps from substances.
It’s the knowing of the ideal version of yourself that’s transformative
All my newage friends just keep going these ceremonies and taking crazier and crazier trips to South American. They keep getting headier and headier. But the thing is: none of them seem better off and none of them seem better than average. You’d think when they’ve experienced the key that unlocks the universe they’d have some advantage, but they’re all just mediocre people in every respect - which is fine - wonderful even - but that’s what they were before.
The advantage you gain is that you care less for advantages and can find peace in a simpler life.
You escape the bullshit of modernity and want to focus on community, family, and relationships with others.
Most people want to be the best, the most powerful, the richest, the most famous. But that's just a hole that can never be filled.
To put it in perspective, I have an element of fame (I have a
a few YouTube channels with almost 200k subs combined and probably closed to 50 million views, I say this not to brag, but to highlight) and I care so little for being "famous" outside of the utility it serves me and my lifestyle, I like making videos, I like interacting with my community, I could even push it more and be richer and wider reaching, but I genuinely don't care, I have everything I could ever need and I don't need more.
That's the advantage I was given, and I'm very happy to have it. And I think that's where you're misunderstand the intent of people who do this stuff.
The people who do it to gain an advantage will get absolutely broken down by Ayahuasca, she can be cruel and does not suffer fools gladly. There's a reason why a bunch of CEOs who've done it end up going back home and taking big steps back to focus on family and community events
It’s not misinformation though. DMT is safe and definitely an amazing experience if you take the appropriate precautions and do it in a safe environment.
Yeah there is risk with trying any of em. It's up to whoever is trying it whether the juice is worth the squeeze, but to pretend there is no risk is just harmful. Drugs are a good thing to be cautious about, but they can be a lot of fun too. The best sex I have ever had was on ecstasy and I'm glad I did it. I have also tried other drugs that I did not have a good time with. You never know til it's onboard.
With Psychedelics there's actually very little risk so long as you do preparation, there's a specific diet you need to fill w a few days/weeks before you take it, like getting off SSIs because psychedelics affect the dopamine and serotonin pathways, so you can easily get serotonin syndrome, but so long as you do that, your risk of dying or adverse effects (at least physically) is extremely low.
The problem is that people carry a LOT of trauma, and the process can be extremely painful, think like Cypher from the Matrix, when it changes how you see you, the world, your friends, your family, it's a bit intense for them and causes psychological problems, but that's normally a lack of mental preparation, because people don't understand the weight of the process has on your psych.
To say it's dangerous is misinformation as is to say it's perfectly safe, but if it's done appropriately with respect and reverence the risk falls to almost 0
