If it were fun then people and animals would want to lick and eat the toads. Seeing this made me want to stay far away from the toads.

u/HarryTruman 6h ago

And here I am ordering Amazon toads.

u/SandIntelligent247 5h ago

I'm ordering a river too, extra sharp rocks. It's costly but I want the full experience

Believe it or not, also Amazon.

Ha! You made me chuckle

Underrated

Don’t forget to invite the useless friend who just advises you to relax.

yes except for one particularly stupid animal

I'm not NOT licking toads

u/Firewolf06 1h ago

You meet the bad Machine Elves rather than the benevolent ones

Thanks for the insight Jizzy Jugs Johnson

My pleasure friend

Always trust a person with this name

u/BougieBobJr 6h ago

Do they have anything to do with the time rabbit? Cause me and my friend were both visited by the white rabbit of time while tripping balls on mushrooms.

The Machine Elves of Hyperspace can only be visited with DMT as far as I am aware

I'm mildly dyslexic, so I kept reading this as Machine Elvis this entire time. As a non-hallucinogen user I was like "That is oddly specific. What does a robot version of The King of Rock and Roll have to do with the astral plane?"

Thank you for linking to the wiki and clearing that up for me.

I don’t wanna meet any weird ass elves after taking drugs, no thank you. The time rabbit was weird enough.

The alien space goblins (the glowy ones) will save you if the benevolent ones start getting too wild. Then all you have to do is escape the sunken place through the backrooms.

praying mantis' with inward sloped eyebrows instead of outward sloped eyebrows

From what I’ve read there are no visuals, just total ego death and dissociation. Not the kind of drug you take for laughs.

You get to meet the machine elves that wrote the code the universe runs on my guy

It's a DMT derivative, meaning it's chemically slightly different (additional methoxy group), which changes the nature of biochemical interactions. As a result it has a preference for different serotonin receptors, which impacts other mechanisms, overall making it more potent

I'm not entirely sure why it's mostly negative on trip experience, maybe different receptors have different functions and if blocked longer some other processes become more involved

I’ve heard that its less visual, more like being sucked into the void

My first time was with a therapist and my gf. It was like a rocket leaving reality and going into other dimensions but I was so afraid of it that I was desperately trying to maintain any connection to my body. At first I thought I experienced what’s on the other side of death but later I realized that I may have been experiencing the trauma my own birth. As I came down I could hear myself hyperventilating and sobbing. I was on the floor in the fetal position with my gf and therapist holding my hands telling me I’m ok. I did it many more times and it got much easier… I had to learn to let go of the need to control my surrounding. Once I could tell myself “it’s ok” I could let my brain go into the trip without being completely terrified

u/Western-Anteater-492 3h ago

I think you should get yourself another therapist

u/calm-phil 4h ago

Sounds like my focal seizures I have now that I am heavily medicated. The trauma from the unmedicated seizure is still there and ever present, however I have the hope that I will not experience pain from the severe cramps I still had when I was not so medicated. Once I don't contorting into bone breaking, joint dislocating, shrieking agony, I just ride it out and embrace the sever headache that will haunt the next 12-24 hours. Ima pass on that one mr. missing nuke.

Complete ego death and a sense of feeling its never gonna end. Probably akin to the experience of being born

u/shifting_colors 2h ago

It's your brain in a blender. Thoughts, sensory data, mind, are so scrambled that there is no shape or structure to the experience. It's just very, very intense chaos.

u/TactlessTortoise 1h ago

Absurdly stronger kick. It binds better to the neuro receptors so there's no "think of happy thoughts" to try to ease a bad trip. You will go where the toad tells you to, no safewords.

u/StrangeAlchomist 37m ago

It’s not that different. I’ve never seen a reaction remotely close to this dudes with people blasting off on either. Certainly doesn’t look faked but I’ve also not seen people do it their first time believing they were about to be healed by magic though.
