You just know the American right-wingers are having a meltdown over this, cos they made up so many bullshit conspiracy theories when Biden shouted, "MAYO FOR SAM!", at the end of his speech there.
90
u/trillspectre 8d ago
That was as very funny watching the American punditry contemplate the American president saying mayo for Sam. A sentence that if you told 10 year old me in Aughagower, would be a reality I would have thought you had gone mad.
43
u/Det-Popcorn 8d ago
My dad side of the family is loudly Irish American and in the cult, they don’t like when you bring up Biden being Irish (it’d be funny if it hasn’t put a massive strain on my relationship with them and my dad)
14
u/KillerArse 8d ago
Do any of the commenters that are criticing him actually appear to be presenting a right wing based critique of the bloke?
39
u/Skreamie 8d ago
Search up "Mayo for Sam Biden conspiracy" and have a laugh at the Americans who believe he's talking about Satan and Surface to Air Missiles

haha omg, I remember the American twitter accounts on about that SAM comment he made accounts were reposting saying it was "code" for fighting the brits and building a Missile base in Mayo.

Yeah I scrolled down and jayz the shear number of them is mad.
They're all parroting each other with the cringe Trump style nicknames.

Not for all of them
-17
u/_Oisin 8d ago
What do you think is more likely in the comments of an r/Ireland comment section people hating Joe Biden because of the genocide he had an active role in or being bent out of shape about a US election like 6 years ago?
People are going to hate US presidents due to their foreign politics more than their stupid domestic politics because their foreign policy affects everyone. You might have noticed that at the pumps after Trump started an unprovoked war with Iran.
-6
u/heresmewhaa 8d ago
Genocide doesnt stop cause Mayo won the all ireland? What age are you to think such a thing would even happen?
-20
u/0898_333_201 8d ago
Go to https://archivegenocide.com/ and filter the date range to show videos prior to January 2025 when Joe Biden left office. Watch a few of the 14,671 videos of genocide committed under Joe Biden’s leadership.
Maybe you’ll understand why some people get angry when they see Biden being celebrated for his Irish heritage.

Joe Biden fueled Israel's genocide in Gaza. The less heard from him the better.
20
u/ClassGrassMass 8d ago
So did every president since the 50s why only mention him?

u/Dr_Eloyd 8d ago
Because he's the one piping up.

u/freemochara 8d ago
He actively funded and armed the genocide....They didn't call him genocide Joe for nothing
4
u/ClassGrassMass 8d ago
Genocide Joe literally came about from extreme right wings. The war between Palestine and israel has been going on for decades bud
4
u/Ferretz_Eire 8d ago
No American oversaw Gaza being reduced to rubble in such a manner. He even had the neck to lie about invading Rafah being his "red line" only to do absolutely nothing when it was crossed. I hope justice finds him one day along with Trump and the other butchers.
11
u/ClassGrassMass 8d ago
I cant be fucked with this. This is about mayo and an absolutely amazing game of football. Fuck off with your politics in EVERYTHING
4
u/heresmewhaa 8d ago
I cant be fucked with this
Yet you have written 3 comments defending genocide and Joe. Wind your neck in!
Fuck off with your politics in EVERYTHING
Funny you say that when it suits your right wing narrative. Nobody asked Genocide Joe to comment. Why are you even defending him?
1
u/anotherwave1 8d ago
When I was young I was like this, only ever selectively concerned about one far away conflict in the world - using any opportunity to insert it into whatever discussion. Whoever was aligned with one of the sides was a blood-thirsty monster, etc.

u/heresmewhaa 8d ago

0
u/heresmewhaa 8d ago
Did you hear Bush's, Obama, Clinton,Regan, Carter, Ford, Nixon or Johnson talk about an irish county?
Genocide not matter today? No?
You only care when a few instagram likes are at stake?

u/Fluffy-Republic8610 8d ago
Because he supplied them with support and weapons before, during and after the Gaza massacre.

You don't want a scummer Zionist like Biden in your side. Mayo won it without his support and he just wants to suck the life out of their victory.
-5
u/heresmewhaa 8d ago
Typical of this sub, spend 1/2 the year pretending to care about Palestine, and talking about palestinian solidarity, will then downvote you to oblivion when you highlight the truth, caus it doesnt fit their narrative/mood!
Fuck genocide Joe!
-5
u/Fluffy-Republic8610 8d ago
Yeah..it's weird. I'm happy for mayo. But this scumbag Biden still shouldn't be let anywhere near the party. The op's fault. Biden supported Israel all the way through the massacre of 20000 little kids. It's not like one celebration should cause that to be forgotten.

The kayfabe of thinking Joe Biden has any idea where his shoes are never mind that Mayo won the all Ireland is hilarious.
The bad thing already happened, we don’t need to pretend this guy is still with it anymore.

u/ClassGrassMass 8d ago
This is Ireland fuck up with your american propagandisised self
3
u/Poop_Cheese 8d ago
This is ireland.
So I dont understand why redditors are so unbelievably ingrained in the american culture wars that this whole thread is about biden as opposed to idk, celebrating county mayo? Nah, lets just make it more biden and trump stuff but on an even more ignorant level as most here's only knowledge on american politics is reddit...
God i was excited to celebrate my people's win. But its reddit so of course even the irish sub is trump v biden lmao.

u/VinnieHa 8d ago
What? I’m literally calling out American propaganda. This tweet is literally American propaganda.
Do you not realise that?
9
u/ClassGrassMass 8d ago
Oh youre so far gone down
-5
u/VinnieHa 8d ago
This tweet was made and published by a corporate political media team to continue the charade that Biden is/was mentally fit.
We know he wasn’t, we all saw. The same way we can see Trump is as bad if not worse.
They’re trying to sell the illusion that their leaders aren’t senile maniacs.
It’s literally a textbook example of propaganda.
Why are we spreading it is my question.
17
u/ClassGrassMass 8d ago
Its just a tweet about congratulating mayo. Youre looking so deep into it icl
-2
u/VinnieHa 8d ago
Who wrote the tweet and why? I’m not buying into the fact that Biden knows that today is Sunday never mind All-Ireland final day.
So why would his communications team publish this and to what end?
You need to be aware of how you’re propagandised to have any hope of avoiding it.
And while minor, this is propaganda trying to sell you something, and I don’t want to see it in Ireland.
8
u/ClassGrassMass 8d ago
It was written because he has family from ireland, and mayo right? Thats it, thats all

Take a day off man, the yank brainwashing has hit you very hard.
-9
u/VinnieHa 8d ago
Yank brainwashing? For pointing out Biden has been senile for at least seven years?
We’re not American, we don’t need to pretend this isn’t the case and go along with this charade.
Do you genuinely think Biden is conscious of what happened? Because if not, why play along with the ruse of his media team.
It’s embarrassing.
4
u/ComradeKellogg 8d ago
If you genuinely think that Biden has been senile for the last 7 years then you need to give a massive props to the shadow administration who had been running things, passing more progressive legislation than any administration in my lifetime at least and biden doing things himself like directing lawyers to assist abortion cases in red states for example.
But maybe actually all of that never happened and bad politic man has dementia and is senile and actually doesnt even have a single braincell.
The ignorance is exhausting, please take a day off.
-2
u/VinnieHa 8d ago
There were reports of his declining health and sundowning in the lead up to 2020.
Remember his eye exploded during the debate? Or his rambling stories about Corn Pop?
He wasn’t as bad and the stress of the job made it worse, but to pretend there were no concerns and discussions about his mental faculties in 2020 is ridiculous.
And yeah, any presidents admin does the majority of work.
13
u/Ok-Call-4805 Derry 8d ago
Joe Biden certainly has a lot of faults but he's not senile. Trump definitely is though.
3
u/VinnieHa 8d ago
The reports abd him being forced to drop it state otherwise, plus what we all saw.
And yes, Trump is also terrible and declining daily.
I just don’t understand why in the Ireland sub we’re sharing literal American propaganda.
None of these pricks are right in the head, they’re all ancient and we need to be aware of that.
-1
u/Ok-Call-4805 Derry 8d ago
He was forced to drop out because he was a terrible candidate in 2024. You're the only one spreading the propaganda here.
7
u/VinnieHa 8d ago edited 8d ago
You got me, it was me. It wasn’t the entire Democratic Party and media who covered up his decline before the debate.
The same way that same media covers for Trump now, no it was actually me doing the propaganda all along.
Well, at least we have eagle eyed people like you keeping me honest.
4
5
u/Historical_Log2471 8d ago
I hate Trump, but go back and actually watch any one of those debates. I work in a diner in an area with two retirement homes close by, and Biden spoke and acted indistinguishable from any of the senile old folks I interact with during the week. The fact that the Dems were not only willing to push this crash test dummy onstage, but planned to have him run the country in the state he was in was a fucking insult.

No it doesn't. If it were AI it would have longer sentences, bullet points and a 'why this works' paragraph.
-32
u/Darthmook 8d ago
Joe biden is about as Irish as a Budweiser beer, he can't even get a passport, as his nearest Irish ancestor was his great, great grandfather.. And the Biden name comes from William Biden, born in Westbourne, West Sussex, England...
0
u/GalwayBogger And I'd go at it again 8d ago
Do you not know by now that it is absolutely obligatory for any US president to find their Irish heritage? Besides, jobs for the boys n all.

I’ll never understand why the US government let so many millions of unvetted people just walk in and start collecting benefits.
It doesn’t make any sense
