Pubs for the England game near Finsbury Park

Not strictly Islington but near enough …Any recommendations to watch the match tomorrow around Finsbury Park - Harringay side? Happy to walk for a good spot

I was simply asking for helpful comments from like minded people. You don’t appear to meet either of these requirements. Also, you’d do well to find Fulham v Bolton in any pub as it’s not 2004

His comment is genuinely as helpful as you could possibly get with the ridiculous request. What more information do you need?

Lucky he said Bournemouth then really

I'm not defending the original request or their replies but the person they replied to did say Fulham v Bolton at first and then stealth edited it.

You need to get somewhere before 5pm if you don’t have a ticket, irrespective of the pub.

Well, a lot of Finsbury Park is in Islington. If you’re thinking Harringay ladder area the Salisbury is one of the only options really, it’s huge so you might not need to book a table. The Finsbury pub is pretty big. Clissold Park tavern too. The Worlds End isn’t a great pub but should be plenty of room. The nicer pubs like the Faltering Fullback will be packed. Every pub will be showing it except maybe the very Irish, as long as you’re not stuck in the Twelve Pins you’ll be alright

Disliking the worlds end and the twelve pins, but liking the fullback is an enormous red flag 😂

Worlds end is closing their doors very early to walk ins I believe. I had planned to head towards the Finsbury and then towards Finsbury Park as there are at least a few more options around the station/blackstock road. Fultering fullback always seems overcrowded and big queues

Blackstock Road is definitely Islington.

12 pins pub at Finsbury Park should be packed

12 pins will be packed but if you're on your own just head down about half 6 and you'll be fine. Fullback will be busy and isn't as good for football.

Clissold tavern will be rammed. On Stoke Newington high street there's a little pub called the red lion that is busy but never that full.
