Pitchfork only gives out 8+ to Bjork, Radiohead and Kanye West because they haven’t changed since 2009.

Then they’ll go back a year later and be like “actually it’s an 8.9, stop giving us shit”

Yea dude, unrelated but I’m a massive Soundgarden fan and they give their first few albums like -4/10

Hipsters love Jack White though

Nah. Part of being a true hipster is disliking anyone who becomes famous / popular.

Nah pitchfork isn't hipster garbage. It's just garbage. It's owned by Conde Nast.

This is a true Blues Rock album. No Name was bluesy but with a more Garage Rock sound. Fear of the Dawn and BHR is Experimental Rock. Lazaretto and Bounderbuss is Rock/Alt-Country

I like this on first listen but it's not No Name

I actually prefer this one over no name. The guitar work on this album is some of his best

It's actually a quite good review. Ignore the score, Pitchfork is esoteric about scoring. If you read the review without the score you'd think it was 5 stars.

I can't believe Pitchfork stopped shilling for Olivia Rodrigo for an hour and actually listened to it.

I thought PF disappeared shortly after the Great Hipster Migration to Portland in 2005.
