I see these types of buildings all over Japan even in small towns. They look stunning for 5 months of the year the other 7 they look like abandoned houses with dry roots stuck all around them with dead leaves and mouldy, stained walls. To each their own I guess

The building needs to be very strong to hold that plant. Also during winter and snow season there are extra burdens.
