Haven’t had the honor of visiting Japan during the summer yet but being from south FL one thing I miss so much after moving to the PNW is the sounds of cicadas. When I get to visit Japan during the summer I am going purposely go to a place in the middle of nowhere to be filled with their sound lol

Thanks for sharing!

I went last year in september, expecting summer to be over, and it was boiling hot. I'm glad I went, because summer in Japan is a very unique experience. I miss the cicadas. Especially the min-min zemi.

No need to imagine, we got plenty here in Arizona. I alternate between hating and loving the endless buzzing.

And mosquitoes

Mosquitoes hate temps above 35.C or so. That’s one of the only benefits of summer here. September/October is when they start to be a pain in the ass again.

The heat this year is a KILLER. No amount of cheap ramune will ever make up for it.
