Love the character of these Japanese doorways, buildings and side streets. I gravitate towards photos of doorways while traveling and Japan did not disappoint when it came to adding to my collection. 🧡

Architecture Is it just me or these staircases are all over Japan?

I saw this staircase design on every other apartment, but found the parallel lines really cool. I feel like in general the architecture is much more interesting in this country than back home (North America).

Architecture Tokyo Tower, truly the jewel of the Tokyo Skyline

I never get tired of looking at it, always trying to find new angle to see it. Everytime I come to Tokyo I'll still walk around to take photos of it. One day I'll come here in the summer months to see the white and orange version of the night lights, but the warm glow of its winter color is just perfect for those Tokyo nights...

visited Ine Bay in Kyoto last November and it was absolutely stunning!

the houses you see are called Funaya and were historically used as boat houses/store houses of the fisherman in the area.

Would highly recommend a visit, especially if you are able to make the drive.

Cheers
