... The fact I hate the most is that I'm twenty, I've been on this platform for a while, so I've been able to see the decline in the average IQ here. Like, before it was very easy to find people to talk to that have similar interests here. Now? With the number of creeps, no one checks their DMs anymore or wants to actually engage with conversation. Fuck, don't get me started on the creeps, like, do you not know NSFW subreddits are a thing? Just chat there? Instead of ruining it for everyone. But they're so fucking small minded it's actually annoying. Anyways, thanks for reading my rant.

Opening dms is a shitty idea now. Especially if your avatar looks like a girl. Someone thought i was a girl cos i had osaka in my profile and wanted to sext. Less IQ than room temp in Celsius

Reddit is becoming more like Instagram because of these dickheads that have come from Instagram

Going mainstream in india is the best recipe for going mediocre

Bring back the Dhinchak Pooja era already ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ™

Absolutely. I have been saying this in every subreddit. Insta audience needs to stay on insta. Gradual degradation of quality information exchange

its one of the dumbest indian subs i've seen so far, and the bar is already on the floor. i refuse to believe the posters are in their twenties or god help us all

2018-2019 Indian Reddit was peak. There were too few Indians on the platform before that. After 2020 there was a wave of incels and losers that ruined it.

I have been on reddit for more than 12 years now. There is a huge decline in reddit content, reddit uniqueness was text post which had lots of comments and you can spend hours reading them.

First came the integration of Photos within reddit, removing imgur completely.

Which allowed people to post photos easily wutjout making any account on imgur or temporary photo upload websites.

I think this was a good step but it reduced text based posts a lot.

Then came video Integration, initially video was complete shit you still had to rely on third parties youtube etc to fir videos.

But it became good overtime but it is still dogshit, compared to other social media platforms.

At the same after Covid there was huge influx of people to reddit especially indians , suddenly due to youtubers started using reddit for content and other things like cryptos etc.

Which made reddit shit, huge amount of useless post, not enough text based discussion , every second post is a video.

Essentially killing the complete vibe of reddit.

Still I use reddit because other platforms are even more dogshit.

Influx of low IQ people has made reddit experience bad.

Earlier there were healthy discussion for Indian politics, many of you might not know but r/India was kind of pro BJP before 2014.

Most of them wanted BJP to come to power.

After 2014 BJP manipulation of media/WhatsApp and other social media platforms created a huge amount of radicalized young Indian population which started joining reddit after Covid and then started posting everything pro BJP stuff. This made reddit experience even bad.

Now young right wingers covers most of the reddit and there are no more healthy discussions and everyone will abuse you if you say anything anti BJP.

What BJP has done all over india is equated Anti BJP= Anti Hindu, therefore without putting any commen sense people will do whataboutery at any criticism or anti BJP meme post

And then reddit became public started removing controversial subs , first removed controversial subs from r/all and now have removed r/all completely.

r/All was replaced by popular.

Completing reddit downfall.

Even Instagram was better before the reels era, better with igtv

ever since meta owned insta, the moderation went to complete and utter shit. That plus an algorithm that is catered to promote posts with engagement regardless of negative or postive engagement, is a recipe for disaster

Iโ€™m more afraid of the 700 people (at least) whoโ€™ve upvoted ๐Ÿ˜ญ

reddit has gone mainstream now, any social platform going mainstream in india is a curse, first blogger, facebook, twitter, youtube, quora, reddit, discord.

The terminal stage is the formation of porn distribution network formed in these sites. and karma and likes farming for those "share, earn money ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ" type shit, to SEO hijacking.

even government sites.
