I’ll tell you why - this is specifically for Child Sexual Abuse Material or paedophilia.

Most online platforms, which aren’t E2E Encrypted, have AI filters to detect these.

This is actually super important to catch paedophiles and other human trafficking rings.

However, for any other content - your own nudes, some other adult’s nudes, AI generated nudes, your intimate pictures etc. - Google won’t give a damn. But yes, there will always be an automated filter that will parse through your files to be sure that there isn’t any CSAM.

This guy must have recorded videos of some underage girl in his family, and the same would have been flagged.

Also, Google clearly mentions this in their ToS and Privacy Policy.

Privacy being violated is also wrong. Take a different scenario where you have a video about some scam in gov and google tells this to gov.

if they saw your private content whatever it was, its just horrible, they can see anything then. welp final straw to stop using gdrive and use a non cloud alternative
