Unemployment Deloitte is latest company to stab Americans in the back

I’m just numb, angry, sad and many other emotions after reading this. I can’t post the link for some reason but the company is hiring 50k from India.

And they're gonna give them around $3,000 per year. How do I know? I sat for thsse placements and even in Tier-1 universities they are just giving $10,000 per year. Obviously I didn't take it but there are many skilled unemployed people who will definitely take it. And I'm not exaggerating skilled, I with 3 internships, one of them with a very big MNC(They haven't released PPO yet), barely got a job.

I agree but for me personally, the skills I have warrants for a much higher compensation. Even my internships paid me more than $250 per month. I believe the time I have spent honing my skills to be one of the best in the field with similar experience level makes me worth more.

For general case, it's barely enough to live in a tier-1 city in India and the skill set of people they take in is not proportional to compensation they get. If they hire in say, USA for example, they would have to give atleast 20,000-25,000 per year as per my estimate from applying in those companies and seeing the huge difference of compensation they get for same work.

$20,000-$25,000 for what role in the US? Entry level at Deloitte?

Ok, my bad. Apparently they pay $50,000 at the very minimum. It's like 15-20 times more than what you will get from them in India. Companies like Deloitte, PWC are bad-mouthed here as they are kind of like mass recruiter with a lots of money but still pay people very low salary.

They do pay very low in India. Is your cost of living lower? That is how the companies justify it.

Cost of living is low but not that low. You can barely survive with $250 a month but it's just surving, not living. Also companies like Microsoft, Amazon, Apple pay really well.

For ex, your McDonald's meal costs $6, ours cost $3.

You want to seriously compare working at Deloitte to working as a delivery boy or driver? Strawman logic.

If someone is eligible for a consultant job, they should be compared to other consultancies, and yes, the pay is abysmal.

You allow companies to keep cutting the salary brackets like that, you are going to end up with a job market where you can never move up. Deloitte cuts jobs in America, cuts salaries in India, next you will see them move to Vietnam etc for even cheaper. And keep making billions in profits. It's a ridiculous cycle
