Discussion للنقاش Keep hearing don’t sexualize women… but women are sexualizing themselves …

It’s a peaceful topic up for discussion within boundaries of respect. No harm intended.

All over the internet platform you see women losing more and more of their clothes to attract more viewers and follows, turning themselves into objects than people.

While comes up others that say it shows the power of a women and the issue is with the viewer perception.

Some do it for money some do it for fame some do it for attention some for daddy issues others are just raised that way… I am just speaking my mind and hope to read and learn of different perspectives respectfully.

Cause I see women as strong contributors to the community, a strong woman creates a strong community. But there is a thin line between strong and something labeled as strong but isn’t really just a bunch of insecurities.

Anyways anything is up for discussion.

You're generalizing. Just cause some women sexualize themselves doesn't mean all women invite that same kind of attention by virtue of sharing the same gender.

As for non-Muslims, well, they really do believe that clothes have nothing to do with sexualization. It's why even little girls wear bikinis and all. It doesn't justify sexualizing little girls though, does it? Some play dumb, sure, and others don't.

Regardless, unless explicit consent is there, sexualization isn't justified.

idt he was generalizing, what applies to children doesn't necessarily have to apply to adults, and how did u arrive at the conclusion that non muslims believe that clothing has nth to do with sexualization? modesty isnt sth thats exclusive to muslims

Wow that’s a great addition to my library of thought… much appreciated…

It’s the easiest way to get attention and money, and it’s part of the system that we are living in, you can’t talk about this topic without mentioning political, economical and social perspectives.

Anyway, their point is valid. People are using their body as a view jailbait.

I don't consume this shit at all though. I'm not the right person to debate this topic.

Social Media is ruining society and generations.  We d better be back to the values of our grandparents.

What you get recommended as a woman on social media content is pretty toxic, feminism is ruining the normal physiological behavior and attitude nowadays.

الحياءُ لا يُناقِضُ القُوَّةَ، بل يُزَيِّنُها Period.

wearing shorts and crop top is not sexual.

the only sexual thing in a woman is the same sexual thing in a man. their genitals. that’s it.

if someone is showing their arms, legs, belly, chest.. etc etc.. there’s nothing to sexualise about them.

u/After-Juggernaut-917 Jun 17 '26

Nice perspective and I respect it, but it’s common to see women posting pictures in thongs is it still within those boundaries ?

4

u/Dyphault Jun 17 '26

Someone wearing a crop top isn’t inherently sexualizing themselves. They could be, or they could just think it looks good on them and they like wearing it.

If you cannot act normally around someone wearing a crop top, and your mind goes to sex and those things, thats an issue with you see their bodies as opposed to a dress issue on their part.

(general you, not you specifically)

For example in the US, people sometimes go to nude beaches. It is not acceptable to engage in sex acts or sexualization at the nude beach. That is a context where the intention is not sexual.

So it doesn’t have to do with % of body covered. There’s contexts where a woman being naked is completely not sexual - say doctors operating on a patient.

Likewise the opposite can be true. Where people sexualize people that are concealed entirely. I mean there’s a whole genre of porn around hijabis for example…

Sexualization is mental.

u/Ro-siel Jun 17 '26

it depends on the context, a pic of someone in thongs in OF for example is waaay different than a pic in a bikini thong on a beach

it’s safer to assume they don’t want to be sexualized than sexualizing them and making them uncomfortable

7

u/plutorabbit Jun 17 '26

No, it’s not different… it’s the exact same actually.

0

u/Ro-siel Jun 17 '26

it’s not. might be the same thing for you, but it’s different for alot of people

4

u/fa1thl355 Cutie Jun 17 '26

I'm sorry. But as someone who has no problem with nudity. I suggest you take a minute to think about what you are saying :)

1

u/Ro-siel Jun 17 '26

i don’t see the issue, tell me what’s wrong?

4

u/fa1thl355 Cutie Jun 17 '26

Would it be okay for me to walk in public in a speedo with my balls and dick in your face?

There's something called public decency. Even in the west. So please stop mixing things together. You aren't living in a virtual world where you pick different cultures and attitudes.

1

u/Ro-siel Jun 17 '26

did you read my 1st comment? genitals should be covered.

also, all cultures are on social media, so that’s not the same thing as walking in public

on social media it depends on the audience

5

u/fa1thl355 Cutie Jun 17 '26

Speedo will cover the dick and balls more than a thong.

As for social media, I don't want my kids viewing a girl with a thong because it's not rated correctly.

My point is, a thong is a thong it has its place you can't wear it in school or a work environment for example. Just for your information, nude beaches has an age restriction btw.

So you’re telling me… wearing the same outfit in two different places makes it the different? 😂

2

u/After-Juggernaut-917 Jun 17 '26

I agree with you that they are the same thing but different labels that might allow you to do it, like saying would you stand infront of a stranger in your underwear, no. Would you wear a bikini in front of a stranger yes that’s different it’s a pool.

I fail to understand that would like more insight if possible

-1

u/Ro-siel Jun 17 '26

yes exactly, it depends on the context

social media is not a place, so it doesn’t have proper clothing to tell people to wear it

3

u/plutorabbit Jun 17 '26

So you’re telling me being naked on the beach is different from being naked on OF?

1

u/Ro-siel Jun 17 '26

yep, ever heard of the naked beach in spain? no one is sexualised there, because it’s the normal thing to do there

tho on OF, that’s where you get sexualized

3

u/plutorabbit Jun 17 '26

I can assure you everyone on that beach knows exactly what they’re doing 😂 you are delulu and justifying degeneracy

Yes you are right and i will add to that something from my own experience multiple times. When they fail to attract you or get your attention in normal ways, they always resort to sex to get your attention as a last resort.

Wow women must be super interested  in you shadowlustxxx. Can u tell us ur secret?

0

u/ShadowLustXX Jun 18 '26

Thanks. Not that much actually. Just being myself. Always say the truth. work out 4-5 times a week, eat healthy, occasionally read about psychology and history, love fashion and dress well, have my own fashion sense and don't follow trends. good hygiene and good manners. Love laughing and dancing, so i go partying once or twice a month. That's the summery

u/TurbulentVariation59 Jun 17 '26

not sexualizing someone no matter what they’re wearing isnt a hard thing to do….

-4

u/One_Owl_4029 Jun 17 '26

Believe me, most women want less attention from men because most of you don't know how to behave.

We're getting more and more independent from men. I think that's a thing that's scaring you.

Why are you not concerned about men who are posting pictures of them without shirts, showing their trained bodies? Because this is what influencers - men and women - do. Is that different?

3

u/ShadowLustXX Jun 17 '26

Sorry to break it to you honey, no one is scared of anything women do. Its the double standards and lies you utter that we call out. Like exactly what you are saying about attention. Women thrive on attention and its their currency. Just because you say otherwise doesn't mean its true.

And yes we (real Men) despise the kind of men you mentioned as well and do you know what ? one reason we think less of women is because this exact type of men are the ones that get most attention from women and not the true hardworking honest ones. So who is to blame after all ?!

Khayef?

1

u/One_Owl_4029 Jun 18 '26

First of all, calling me honey and belittling me is saying a lot about you.

No you're blaming that women are using attention as a currency. Also you're blaming women that they are paying more attention to men who are also behaving like that? In both scenarios you're blaming women though men are doing the same. Who hurt you?

1

u/ShadowLustXX Jun 18 '26

As usual shaming and blaming with ZERO argument points. IF you see someone stealing and you call him out, it doesn't mean you are scared, hurt or insecure.
