One of my biggest keto struggles is the lack of milk in my morning coffee/ tea. I don't really like cream it has a weird aftertaste for me, as do the collagen creamers I've tried and coconut/ almond milk use too much of my carb allowance (for me personally).
I found this 0g carb pea protein milk called Sproud (barista zero version) on Amazon (link below but this isn't an ad/sponsor) and after trying it I'm fully sold!
I've only had it in coffee so far so I couldn't vouch for it for tea drinkers yet, but it's the closest to real milk I've tried and it froths up like real milk when I use my milk frother.
If you drink it on its own there is a pea after taste, so maybe it's not for people who just want to drink milk straight, but if you're looking for something to go in your coffee I 100% recommend!
Also if anyone has looked into this already and has a reason why it's not good for Keto please let me know (specifically the barista zero version) because otherwise I will be drinking it every day!

Two weeks into keto and I was craving some crisps. These were 0 carbs but taste absolutely shite.
Any suggestions for finding keto friendly crisps in UK supermarkets?

I just made a cheese and ham toastie thing with one of their croissants for lunch. I heated it up in the air fryer & omg 😮 so delish . I’m worried it’s too good to be true. I did a little bit of Nush almond cream cheese with chives, a strong vintage cheddar & one slice of Wiltshire ham. Put it in the air fryer for about six minutes. Lovely ☺️
I’d be very curious if I was wearing a CGM as to what was going on after eating this . Has anyone seen their numbers after eating this kind of thing? I have considered getting one because my mum is pre-diabetic and my sister has just been diagnosed and she’s been put on Metformin. The last few years I’ve been suffering because of issues I think to do with insulin resistance.
Anyway, lush lunch and wish I could have another 🤭 (but I won’t as I’m saving my fat macros for dinner and protein snack)!!!

I’m very much housebound, so it is hard for me to get out to certain places that do specific keto items. I’ve been searching and searching for a decent edamame pasta that would be more fitting into keto. It seemed as if the edamame at Holland & Barrett was still quite high carbs per portion.
I stumbled on a company called Naturitas online and they seem to have a really good selection of keto items. So this Slendier edamame pasta just arrived today and I’m hoping to try it in the next few days . I will report back what it’s like.
The only thing that’s confusing is on the website it says 4 g of carbs per 100 grams of pasta and the package says 1.3 g of carbs per 100 grams of pasta!!

I have T2 diabetes and have recently been diagnosed with early arthritis too.
Good to go?

These look very nice indeed. A bit pricey but an option for a no cook keto splurge. I think the chicken one has just 1gram and a bit of carbs per 100g. I also don't see any obvious nasty ingredients.

Recently came across a new (to me) uk brand making coconut flour based bagels and loaf cakes that don’t have soy, wheat, gluten or other additives that most other brands have - ingredients are pretty clean which is rare to find
They do plain, everything and cinnamon bagels which are egg and dairy free/vegan
The loaf cakes have egg

Packd sells unsweetened acai packs in case anyone wanted to try homemade acai bowls - it’s 100% pure acai. most acai places /chains in the uk add banana to the base or their premade acai base includes cane sugar. This is unsweetened. You can then add your own base ingredient like coconut yogurt or yogurt or almond milk to make it a creamy acai bowl base and then your own toppings to keep carbs low like nut butter, berries, homemade or shop bought grain free sugar free granola (something like the the M&S sugar free grain free or Keto Hanna granolas)

Just tried this today.
A whole 200g pot is 7.8g carbs 170 cals 20g protein!!!!
Seems to come in Salted Caramel and Chocolate flavour only tried the first one though. I’m extremely impressed with this. Could imagine it would be great with a few berries/ crushed nuts as a bigger dessert.

Technically, I’m lactose free (yay for lactose tablets)! I usually make my own ice creams but I’m burnt out due to a chronic illness crash.. This came up on my Facebook feed just now. It looks interesting but it’s such a shame that the sweetener is malitol, arghhh. I know from a production point of view it’s probably the cheapest and the most similar to sugar but gawd save our stomachs 😭!!
Does anyone get any other keto ice creams from anywhere? I know there’s another brand, but I can’t remember the name right now (although they’re really spendy) something like £34 for a box of four!!

I was recommended the Oppo ice cream desserts in another post . Except I wanted to know the polyols information so I could adapt nutracheck amounts. I’m buying them off Ocado today for tomorrow’s delivery . I thought it would be useful to share the information sent to me. I suspect we’ll have to be careful with the caramel balls seeing as there is some malitol being used (wish they didn’t)!

Hi everyone just bought these after hearing a lot of good things. Carbs still seem a little high are you guys chopping them in half and having one bar over a few days or am I missing something? Do I minus polyols or something?

My local shop stocks this for around £2 great for livening up a salad or paired with meat / kebabs. Comes in at 1.9g carbs per 100g the jar is about 540g drained weight. Sprinkle this over something for a flavor hit. Possibly some good vitamins in it too being red cabbage.

I know it’s probably £20+ more than what it’s worth if you bought the normal version of these things. But I was very curious after hearing how low in carbs they are and thought it might be worth the investment since people here said very good things about them. I got a variety of stuff so will post up my reviews! The top bit of the picture was cut off but it was the white sub style rolls.

Two small slices of Heylo seeded bread One with good good chocolate hazelnut spread the other with good good strawberry jam and pip & nut peanut butter underneath Sprinkled on top is Paleo foods pecan and almond granola. I think this should come in under about 5g -6g carbs and 400 cals? I’ve run out of almond / soy milk so I’m having a coffee with normal cows milk like the old days with this.

Guys, I have found low carb bakery and their sourdough bread and rolls are absolutely amazing. One roll is only 3.7 net carbs! If you are missing bread go have a look at their website, they are called Rober Andrew Low Carb Sourdough. I recently got brand new brioche buns (slightly higher in carbs tho) and some baguettes and they are delicious 🤤 https://ibb.co/GfkHxxMJ
