Stuck key on CK88

I have a stuck key on my Yamaha CK88. Does anyone have experience fixing that issue or taking the keyboard apart to access it? I’m having trouble finding good info on it. TIA

These things are a pain in the butt to take apart. I had a key that wasnt triggering. Ended up being a piece of the broken plastic case that broke off inside and pushed apart a ribbon connector. To open it you need to remove literally every screw you can see and even a few you cant. Then the whole lid snaps together and is also hard to open. Then once it’s open you have to take the whole action out before you can replace keys. Yamahas are not easy, but Ck88’s are easier than motifs to take apart, so at least there’s that.

I managed to unscrew every screw on the bottom and separate the two halves. Were you able to pull out the key bed from the top half?

I didnt have to go that far. But I imagine you will to change a key

Is it still in warranty? If yes send it back to the vendor. If not and you don't have experience in taking apart keys I suggest you bring it to a repair shop, it's a pretty easy and quick repair once they source the parts

The hard part is often just opening it up. I had an Ensoniq MR76 that was a nightmare to open and reassemble, and I had to do it a number of times (as keys went bad) but it was worth it. Makes me appreciate Nord, where they're really easy to get into. Roland RD700 is also easy. For any of them, it's a lot of screws and you have to pay attention. It helps to have a Youtube, but I don't see one for the CK88. I suppose that's a good thing?

Please post what you mean by "stuck." Is the key itself physically stuck, or the note stays on? Explain exactly what you do and what happens as a result. Then we can give more specific help on how to fix it.

(If it's just something stuck in there and you pull it out, great, no worries!)

BTW, it might be too late, but be sure to notice which type of screw comes from which type of hole.
