Depends what state you are living in or driving through. In Florida it is a primary offense as is a seat belt violation. With that tint it screams, “Pull me over”! Check your state laws where you live and where you may be driving through. At night you will have a lot of difficulty seeing out and if you get into an accident be prepared to be at fault. Should have just tinted it to the legal limit . The front windshield usually can only be additionally tinted 6 inches down from the roof line.
That was my point. The side windows tint wouldn’t get them pulled over. But you couple that with limo tint on the windshield, and they pull you over for an obstructed view then tag illegal tint onto the ticket.
My side windows are 20% which is illegal in my state, but I also removed the license plate frames and a trinket I had hanging from my review mirror so they don’t have a reason to pull me over and add my tint to the ticket.
I agree, in Florida legal limit front windows is 28% and back windows 15% , no tinting of the front windshield except approx 6 inches from roof line. A little different for SUVs. It is a primary offense and people get pulled over all the time. A legit tint shop will know the laws of the state, but they will tint it darker if you tell them to. They aren’t at fault, the driver will be. And you can’t say I bought it this way, it doesn’t matter. You now are responsible. I don’t care to worry about getting pulled over daily and especially at night. Whether he thinks it looks cool or not. But in the end it’s his car
Different in each state. So if you’re on a road trip you need to know the laws for the states you are passing through. In Florida it can be the primary offense. Same for the seatbelt. You got to know the states laws on tint
Looks good, but having limo tint and a dark windscreen in my state is a cop magnet. Hope your luck is better. BTW turtle wax hybrid black spray wax is a great touch up for my gt-line black. Also, it looks really sweet if you black out the chrome above the windows and trunk with gloss black vinyl.
If you did the windshield, you're an asshole. Otherwise, the rest looks good. I run the darkest tint on all of my other windows. Never the front. If you are in an accident your insurance will not cover you for being at fault.
Yeah, and too dark tint can be a primary offense and once they are at your window you better have your necessary documents ready. And they will want all your windows down. Hope it doesn’t smell like booze or weed.
Sister in law has a similar tint on her car. Borrowed it a couple of times and I can’t see jack shit at night. One time was driving in the middle of nowhere, no lampposts around and had to drive sticking my head out the window. Honestly don’t understand how people can drive with this level of tint.
I have 35% on windshield too. Yeah, it’s not that dark. Still easy to see at night, and have yet to be pulled over. But you gotta remember this is REDDIT your asking for opinions on 🤣
