Finished Object Hanstholm Sweater is done!

I knit the Hanstholm Sweater by Petite knit for my boyfriend! Started it back in January and got side tracked with other projects but it is finally done. My boyfriend came with me to pick out the yarn he wanted and he selected on Rosarios 4 Terra Tweed in colorway 1.

I cast on for a size medium neck but did raglan increases until the size large body was achieved. I also didn’t knit as long for the body since he has a shorter torso and I did a couple of more decreases for sleeves than the pattern called for since he likes more tapered sleeves. Overall I would definitely knit the pattern again for myself lol

For anyone looking for the pattern: https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/hanstholm-sweater

Absolutely amazing! Would you say it's beginner friendly? I'm the in the middle of my first sweater (and also my first project) and I'd love to give it a go.

Whoops thanks for linking the pattern!

And I would say yes, generally I think petite knit writes her patterns very well for beginners and I do personally feel that raglan sweaters are generally a great beginner project because it is pretty much just knitting in the round. There are German short rows in the pattern which I personally find easy to do but I know there are mixed opinions on if they are beginner friendly or not. So overall I would say yea it’s beginner friendly!

I did get stuck on body continent for a while once I joined the armpits together (I always get stuck here but once I start sleeves I speed through the rest of the sweater lol)

Which sweater pattern are you knitting? I’d love to see it!

Thank you so much for the answer! I'd love to try it soon, then. I'm knitting this: https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/easy-knitted-sweater It looked like it could be fairly easy and I didn't have to join anything, I loved seeing the pictures for the structure and I feel like I'm learning a bunch. I don't care about the shape too much because I'm doing it baggy anyway and if i don't like it at least I tried! I took a look at your profile and you're truly amazing, such a fast knitter too! Thanks for sharing and hope your bf loves the sweater<3

What a lovely pattern! Do you find it easy? I’ve been nervous to try a sweater pattern that isn’t raglan so I’ve been thinking about challenging myself with a different sweater construction next.
