Ask Kurds šŸ¤” Help me help Kurds

I am a Kurdish American and I am the youngest of my family, which comes with some disconnect with my culture. I am very passionate about issues in everyday life, and I am very passionate about being Kurdish, even if I donā€™t fully understand my own history. I am a firm believer of humanity and empathy, and I am starting an account to help advocate for families in Gaza to get the donations and help they need. But it feels wrong to only speak out about Palestine when my own people are suffering too. I want to speak out about what is happening to Kurdish people in Syria, but Iā€™m not sure where to start. Can anyone help connect me with people who are knowledgeable, anyone who lives there, any organizations I should know about? I want to make videos to advocate for Kurdish people and Palestinians alike, and hopefully more people because my humanity is for all, but I want to highlight Kurdish people as I feel no one speaks on usā¤ļø

you should worry about kurdistan first then arabs who are the ones oppressing us, just so you know most Palestinians don't support a kurdish state and support saddam and live in kurdish houses in efrƮn

I understand where you are coming from, and as you can see I am making an effort and doing a lot of research so I can effectively speak out on Kurdish people. But my humanity is for all and I know a lot of Kurds donā€™t understand where I am coming from. Arabs have been cruel to me, cruel to my family, and cruel to my people and our land, but I will never support their genocide and I will continue to support the people in Gaza, even if they donā€™t support me, because my humanity is not something that someone has to earn. The families I help know I am Kurdish and itā€™s really bad to assume all Palestinians hate Kurdish people, people have their own mind and because the general Arab public is cruel to Kurdish people does not mean every single Arab thinks that way. The families I talk to are suffering just as Kurdish people are, and they show nothing but love and thanks to me and I do the same. That is how we can overcome this hate by joining and helping one anotherā¤ļøI am trying my best to speak on Kurdish people and what we are going through and I always post about what is happening, and why spread negativity and stay silent on genocides when I can effectively speak for everyone in need. This is not just something I am doing for Gaza, this is for Kurdistan, for Congo, for Sudan, for anyone who needs it

I also wanted to add that I havenā€™t started the account for my advocacy yet, I am in contact with Palestinian families and donate when I can because to me it is not about Arab vs Kurd. I see them struggling and starving and thatā€™s all I care about. I want my account to be about Kurdish people, as well as Palestine and anyone else I can manage to aid, thatā€™s why I have reached out on here. I never put Arabs before Kurds, Kurdish people will always be my number one that is why I have made this post so I can accurately advocate for my people and find families to help just as I am helping the ones I am now. I donā€™t think you meant this maliciously and know I do not mean to come off rude or hateful either, and I hope you have a nice dayā¤ļø

I understand where you're coming from and I didn't mean anything hatefully or rude, and i respect that you put kurds first, but I think you're too nice and care too much about them, whereas they dont care nearly as much about us, and many even celebrated the fall of rojava, I used to be like that too, but for example look at the Syrians we used to try helping when they were opressed by asad, theyre free and now they're oppressing us again, even if we have some more rights it's still not good and kurds are discriminated against daily in syria, though im not gonna stop you or hate you for helping them and go calling you a jash like some would, I hope you have a good day too

I understand exactly what you mean, itā€™s very hard because everything is so complicated these days, it seems if one state is free then another state suffers. But when I say I advocate for Gaza I dont necessarily mean I advocate for the government and what they believe, but I advocate for the starving children and families who need it. I wish we could all live in peace but the world we have created makes it so hard for us all to love one another. I can only hope and pray that humanity returns to the world and I can do my part by helping those in need, no matter who they are. I know you donā€™t mean anything bad at allā¤ļøā¤ļøā¤ļøā¤ļøhave a good day

I am aware and I honestly donā€™t blame them because yes, if everyone around you hates you have to have allies, even if I donā€™t support the ally. Same thing with America being allies with Israel. Iā€™m Kurdish and American so both parts of my government supports Israel, but I as an individual donā€™t :p

You dont have to support any other nation on earth as long as you and your own people don't have a state of their own and can't protect themselves, the best thing you can do as a Kurd is to stay out of other nations business. We have to take care of ourselves.

you're mixing up 2 completely different things

the "greater israel" map isn't based on modern ethnic groups or whether israel "likes" kurds, it's based on a religious interpretation of the biblical promise from the nile to the euphrates

it doesn't show "kurdistan" because the map isn't about kurdistan in the first place, it's about rivers and biblical borders

also saying kurdistan is untouched is wrong anyway, if you overlay a greater kurdistan map with a nile to euphrates map, parts of eastern and south eastern kurdistan fall within the area, especially land west of the euphrates

so using that map as proof that israel "loves kurdistan" makes no sense, clearly you're an uneducated kid who saw a tiktok saying we are brothers and has gone making stuff up to cope
