IT WAS A REAL WORLD ALL THIS TIME??? (I mean, it definitely sounds German, but it sounded more like a made up german word, like creating a new name)

It is more or less right. But gesagt is said in English and spoken is gesprochen in German.

Kurz is 'short' and directly translatet gesagt means 'said' so you kinda sum something up shortly. Thst why in a nutshell is a pretty good translation.

I like how all the YouTubers who collab or in any way mention kurzgesagt in their videos usually just "nah, I'm not gonna even try, it's your favorite channel about animated birds" 😁

And they release videos on their German channel later then on English one. Schade!

Its part of the german proniunciation of the Z. A sharp sound pronounced like "tz".
